Introducing Michael Sinkew, G3's new Design Director for our NY office! Michael had a passion for architecture from a very young age, so his family was not surprised when he decided to leave New England and move halfway across the country to study at Rice University, School of Architecture, in Houston, TX. Upon completing his degrees, he started his career at SOM Chicago where he worked on large-scale development projects both locally and internationally. Due to a downturn in the economy in the early 90’s, he joined a Facility Management Department for a leading financial company in Chicago where he focused on corporate interiors for the next six years. In 1997, an opportunity to move back east brought him to New York where he reentered the design side of the business and continued to hone his talent for corporate interiors. Working on projects ranging from 3,000 to more than 800,000 square feet, he has developed an expertise in formulating plans that are practical, aesthetic, and conducive for each client’s needs. Since relocating to the dynamic design community of NYC, he has been able to fulfill his passion for the arts, specifically theater, and reconnect with his extended family that immigrated to the Finger Lakes region of New York from Ukraine at the turn of the last century. Having worked as an interior designer in NYC for the past 27 years, Michael has fostered strong relationships with clients and consistently demonstrated his talent for creating optimal spaces. We are very excited to welcome him into our community here at G3!
