This is huge.
Learning from collaborations with DHL Supply Chain have already been more than a little humbling and inspiring. I’m so excited for the next steps in this partnership as we make robots more useful and usable for an even wider variety of warehouse work teams.
There nothing quite like getting to do this kind of HRI field research and iterative design process with world class teams of experts in logistics operations, industrial engineering, robotics, and AI. The DHL team has been amazing to work with, enabling us to put our robots in the hands of warehouse floor associates, doing live fulfillment operations for extended periods of time, not just practicing in a lab. That's where most of the real learning happens and we've already made many design updates to our robots to better fit the workflows, needs, and pain points of these warehouse teams.
I feel incredibly lucky to get to work with these folks, who clearly care deeply about supporting people with better tools for improving their work lives. Onward and upward!
