The semester isn’t officially finished until the numbers are in. Now I can focus my attention on the summer work projects until fall semester starts in August. At that point, you may have noticed I start my last class and my dissertation. The topic is a case study of the roll-out of Next Gen TV / ATSC 3 in the Columbus Market.

The first-ever National Lab Research SLAM last week in DC was a exceptional experience. I did a comprehensive review of the Paramount Indiana Jones 4K UHD release with all of its issues and revisionism. Virtually every effects shot has been manipulated and screwed with, there’s no original audio presentation, the discs have major compression and encoding issues plus zero effort put into the set contents. Changing film visuals, effects and sound is just plain wrong. https://lnkd.in/dnMbgSbJ

I am extra-super-sad I cannot attend this, as I have SO MANY thoughts on this myself (as both a former contestant, a game design hobbyist, and a reality tv fan) and I would be interested to see what the panelists have to share as well.
