Today, I had the opportunity to attend the HERGA Conference 2023, which delved into the nuances of curriculum development, assessment techniques, work-integrated learning and many topics related to higher education. While the conference's primary focus was broader, the strategies discussed resonated deeply with my experience in skill development for persons with disabilities.
The innovative approaches to curriculum and the emphasis on real-world, work-integrated learning can be adapted to cater to the unique needs and potentials of individuals with disabilities. Drawing from my background and the insights from the conference, I see a path forward where these strategies can be tailored to empower and uplift persons with disabilities in their educational and professional journeys.
I'm excited to take these learnings and mould them in a way that champions the cause of skill development for persons with disabilities.
Full house to kick off the 2023 HERGA Conference at Flinders University with Assoc Professor Jack Wang from University of Queensland - The Future of Professional Learning? Teachers for the Digital Age.
Congratulations!
