I wish to acknowledge Soti for sharing this. In my experience, I have often heard the phrase "I love working with that person. They are easy-going". I only paid attention to this, after having read Soti's post. Let me explain. No one is really an "easy-going" person. It is only a matter of our interpretation of their needs from us. So the less they need and the more they can offer to us, makes them "easy-going". However, it's crucial to understand that being "easy-going" doesn't mean that a person doesn't have needs or expectations. It's about how they communicate and manage these needs. They might be working quietly and steadily towards a goal, and their hard work might not be immediately visible. I've seen firsthand how different personalities contribute to the dynamics of our team. We have team members who are outgoing and energetic, and others who are more reserved and introspective. Each brings their unique strengths and perspectives to the table, enriching our work culture and driving our collective success. In 2024, I wish for all of us to appreciate the #diversity of personalities in our workplaces and their full #inclusion to them. Let's strive to understand and value each other beyond labels like "easy-going". Let's acknowledge the unique contributions each person makes to our teams and celebrate the richness that this diversity brings to our work culture. In the end, it's not about being "easy-going" or "hard-driving". It's about being authentic, honest, and essential - just as Soti wished for us. It's about creating a work culture where everyone feels valued and appreciated for who they are and what they bring to the table. Here's to a 2024 filled with authentic, honest, and essential work cultures!

There were many highlights in our year from 2023. One of them was kick-starting the 'Friends of Mia' series (again). We were so fortunate to have been able to call our friends to come give us their precious time. . Although chef's collaboration has become as common as weekly football matches, we knew we wanted to do something a little different. Hence the sub-genre of the 'Next Gen' Chefs series. . These are chefs who we feel (in their own right) have their best work ahead of them. Some are still sous chefs, some have their own restaurants; each and everyone's respective journey doesn't matter. . That's why we decided to do this. To give our clients and supporters a glimpse of what they can do. However, most importantly, and maybe most selfishly - we wanted to do it for pure joy. Each and every 'F.O.M' has been unique in its own right. I'm beyond grateful for our partners, team, suppliers, customers, and most importantly - our dear friends who took their precious time to come support this series. .
