Empowering Growth & Safety: Certified L&D Professional | Certified HR Associate | Champion of Psychological Safety & Engagement
Video not mine taken from Tiktok account of Atty Diokno. Sharing this as this is something that every employee should know during probationary period. Did you know that probationary employment shall not exceed 6 months unless it is covered by an apprenticeship program agreement stipulating a longer period? Article 296 of the Labor code states this fact. If an employee is unable to meet the standards set by the employer, it is where they can terminate the probationary contract supported with documents like the Performance evaluation and others. Stay informed and empowered with the right knowledge! #LaborCode #Employment #ProbationaryPeriod #HRCares

Big Breakfast, Bigger Connections at AWB Co We caught a great moment at our recent AWB Co Contractors Appreciation Breakfast - a former apprentice and one of our current ones having a proper catch-up. This is what it's all about – learning the ropes, getting stuck in, and building a future, not just for us but for the next crew coming up. We’re keen to keep this going, working with our past apprentices as they step into their trade professional roles. Their progress drives us to keep pushing, mentoring, and evolving. Big shoutout to all our current and past apprentices. Here’s to more good times, shared stories, and more wins together. #AWBCo #TradesTalk #ApprenticeshipJourney #SkilledTrades #FutureBuilders #TradeHeroes #MentorshipMatters #CraftingTheFuture #FromApprenticeToPro

Something’s I’ve learned at work is that you can make great memories and friends. I’ve made good friends around the job and I love how we work. We work together and we handle things together. When we see an elderly lady or man shopping by themselves and they need help taking it to their car. We usually go and do it for them. When learn how to communicate with each other. That’s 1 thing I learned, the other thing is when you’re talking to a customer you gotta show them respect and they will usually give show you respect as well. Sometimes I doesn’t always go that way. It’s pretty common to run into a rude customer. The best way to handle it is to let the supervisors take care of it. The other downfall about work is you can sometimes have that supervisor who is very strict with you and doesn’t show you respect at all. They can make you hate the job. That’s why you gotta talk to the other supervisors about what’s going on so they can take care of it. That’s happened to me before but now work is fun and I enjoy working with my coworkers. This has made me a better person. Cherokee High School Work-Based Learning & Youth Apprenticeship Program #CherokeeWBL #GeorgiaWBLWorks

Apprentice day today ….. You’re Fired! 👉🏻 I seem to be saying to a few of my Clients of late, take a break, move away from your desk, go for lunch, get some steps in. We are getting back to having our heads in a screen far too much, living and breathing work. Not stealing ourselves away from having some time to yourself (emptying the dishwasher isn’t on the list Jo Lane 🙄). Move away, you will come back refreshed, not begrudging things, chuntering like Victor Meldrew (or a dog chewing a wasp), and much more focused. Time out #businesssupport #businessglu #bekindtoyourself #worklifebalancematters
