According to Gartner, 83% of CCOs said that their influence in the C-Suite has recently increased and this was particularly apparent during COVID. While the author here brings up a valid point, with leaders and internal communications the most important thing is to be human. Yes, that sometimes includes humor, but you have to know when not to use humor too. Lead and communicate with empathy to avoid potential wrong steps. Would love to hear some examples of leaders doing this well. I know firsthand, it's very enjoyable writing for a CEO who leads with empathy. Setting clear objectives is crucial for PR & Comms Measurement. Reporting up to Executive Leadership, they often want to see your roadmap for success. Clear objective setting helps to provide a clear framework against which progress can be assessed. In the boardroom, the various Executive Heads of Departments will unify around common organizational goals. Clear objectives establish specific, measurable targets that allow PR & Comms professionals to track their efforts. And also ensure that they are aligned with broader organizational goals. This clarity also enables three major activities: 1. Enables teams to prioritize their activities 2. Enables teams to allocate resources effectively 3. Enables teams to make informed adjustments to strategies as needed. So, set clear objectives...
