I just saw a role posted for $22 an hour direct hire as an analyst for an office in Boston. The role was more on the entry level side and it was posted by a recruiting agency. Now regardless of experience or education no analyst role should be $22 an hour especially in Boston of all places where a studio - 1 bedroom is $2500-3000 dollars a month. Out of curiosity, how do you even recruit for a role like that? Would someone genuinely be interested? That’s almost pay for non basic warehouse work here in central Ohio. I wonder if some companies are just completely out of touch with comp ranges, or are they just mixing up their titles? Unfortunately, I see this situation is quite common with roles in HCOL areas. I see quite a few 65k for roles in Manhattan that require in office and a degree. I just don’t understand how one would live if they take jobs like this?
