This weekend I was invited by FoX 5 Washington DC morning show to portray the story of the Marra family in the USA and to narrate the mega event we executed with our traditional Marra Forni brick ovens and Oro Pizza team at the Phoenix Super Bowl. However, the main story to tell here is predominantly about an emigrant family that came to the USA with nothing and had to start from zero. Rebuilding life from scratch is definitely not an easy event for any person to overcome but imagine doing it in a foreign country! Learning the new language and being fluent was definitely one of the hardest barriers to overcome. Not having the typical large family and friends support was another undertaking. Even if this is the country of equality and inclusion, I cannot hide from you that as an emigrant you will find great difficulties in many instants. Throughout its history, United States has benefitted greatly from the arrival of new people who bring with them fresh energy, new ideas, culture, tradition and passion. I do believe our family could be the true American dream story but let’s be honest, it did come with a lengthy journey full of obstacles, challenges and much sacrifices. All being said, we are very proud and thankful of our American’s journey and micro achievements accomplished. #marraforni #marrafamily #storytelling #moretocome #proudmoment #thankful #fromnothing #tosomething
