The region's most prestigious PGA TOUR tournament, Travelers Championship took place this weekend and Oropizzadc and Marra Forni expressed the passion of the culinary arts by creating the most delicious Neapolitan Pizza the event ever experienced in the last 10 years. As first timers, we were a hit and everyone was bragging about our hand-stretched Neapolitan pizza finished in our Marra Rotator Deck oven at about 900 Fahrenheit. I was honored and humbled to receive the 2024 Filitalia International Hero’s Award (Founded by Cardiothoracic Surgeon and President Pasquale Nestico) for promoting, preserving, and supporting the Italian heritage and traditions through our enterprises. My American’s journey started on January 6th, 1995. I was a young adult of 22 years old when I immigrated to the USA. Like other immigrants, I had a very humble beginning. I had to restart my life from the bottom without knowing the language, the culture, and with no human resources. But with lots of hard work, sacrifice, and suffering, my family and I made the USA our new home. I share this award with my brother Enzo Marra, my wife Ana, kids, sister-in-law Marianna, nephew, nieces, and of course, my Mom and full-time Nonna, Pina Dubbio. As entrepreneurs, we could not achieve our mission and goals without our spouses' and families' support and assistance. It was a pleasant surprise to find our friend, International and acclaimed Oncologist, Professor Antonio Giordano, President of the Sbarro Health Research Organization. National Restaurant Association Show of Chicago last week was amazing. Almost 60,000 attendees came to find world-class equipment, the latest technology, innovation various programs, education opportunities, and inspiring speakers. Marra Forni and Pizza University & Culinary Arts Center were huge contributors to the show experience with new products, innovations, and culinary demonstrations. The show's stars were our new innovative Rotator Electric Oven and the Rotator Wood, Coal, and Gas Oven. First ones ever made by an American Manufacturer. Our booth was visited no stop for four days by some of the highest-ranking professionals of the restaurant and hospitality industry.
