This is an important video for anyone in the #fintech #innovation space - if you are building tools for investing, it's HIGHLY unlikely that you are going to be able to source data from a single provider. Learn why --> https://hubs.ly/Q02nYb0L0

"How many conversations do I need to have to be sure there's a market for my product?" I often thought this as I invested in, worked for and started companies. I think the best answer is - you're always learning, so never stop talking to potential users and customers (for those who know me know that isn't hard...) Over the summer, Callum and I spoke to over 100 different pricing and engineering teams about their biggest pain points. One of the consistent themes was pricing data, so we dug into these interviews to understand what the specific challenges were and how we might go about solving these with Swallow. If you're interested to read more, link below, or if you'd like to have a vent (or chat about what we're building) just drop me a line! #pricing #insurance #finance #insurtech #fintech #startups

If your mental model around data building at your organization is transactional and bespoke, it might be time to consider those data assets as software. This has several benefits - one of the most important is observing the stability of your data. Is it fresh (does it need to be)? Is is accurate (do you have tests around it)? Is it valuable (how many downstream reports are connected to it). If you're conducting multiple siloed analyses, might be worth approaching your analyses and reporting differently. Managing Director: Head of Private Capital Markets | Private Credit & Equity Data, Analytics, and Workflow Solutions
Two decades ago, fresh on Wall Street, I was fortunate to dive headfirst into a trailblazing startup. Our audacious goal? To revolutionize the way stocks and options were traded. While the internet was reshaping the world in 2003, it seemed surreal that investors had to endure half-hour waits just to determine the status or cost of trades. The technology we were building, however, promised to slash that wait to mere milliseconds. This wasn't solely about speed. It set the stage to make trading more affordable for investors and spurred the industry toward a staggering 1100% volume growth in the ensuing years. Now, 20 years on, I recognize similar challenges in the world of Private Credit. It mirrors where trading stood back then: poised for massive growth but held back by tedious manual processes and limited access to crucial information. At Kroll, our mission is clear: We aim to transform how funds manage and value their Private Credit investments. We're dedicated to assisting fund managers and investors in surmounting these obstacles, preparing the field for Private Credit's next big surge. Discover the future of Private Credit management with the Kroll Valuation Platform. Let's craft this story, together.. http://ms.spr.ly/60469UKz6
