Today’s #FeelGoodFriday: The Director of Research at Leading on Opportunity, AJ Calhoun, recently joined our friends at Freedom School Partners – a nonprofit client of FFTC – at Renaissance West STEAM Academy for a morning of summer reading! 

We are gearing up to support USA at the Olympics! As the chair of the USA Field Hockey board, our CEO Cathy Bessant will be cheering the team on in Paris when they compete for gold in a few weeks! One of our governing board members, Bank of America Charlotte President Kieth Cockrell, will be in Paris with his family for the Games, too. They’ll be there to support Anna Cockrell, the 26-year-old daughter of Kieth and Serena Cockrell, who graduated from Providence Day before going on to a decorated track and field career at the University of Southern California.

Recently, Carolina Theatre Executive Sean Seifert generously guided several tours for our #FFTCFam to see all the outstanding progress of our restoration project next door! Our Carolina Theatre team’s dedication and expertise have made each tour an enlightening experience, showcasing the meticulous work being done to preserve the theater's historic charm while integrating modern state-of-the-art amenities.

With the Olympics just around the corner, it's exciting to see so many local athletes and teams affiliated with our area heading to Paris. We are particularly excited about USA Field Hockey's women's national team, because our CEO Cathy Bessant is the chair of the USA Field Hockey board and has been instrumental behind the scenes. Cathy will be joining the team (cheering them on) when they compete for gold in a few weeks!
