Today, Forum's CEO Matt LeDucq, participated in a White House Roundtable on Zero Emission Freight Infrastructure. Matt shared the story of Forum's work to support the equitable transition to zero emission freight by building large charging depots, and supporting carriers with convenient and reliable charging - or a truck and charging together, for one monthly fee. He spoke of the need to ensure that this transition provides a path to prosperity for truckers, and results not just in cleaner air for our communities, but also a lower cost per mile for carriers. A key driver of success is cargo owners preferentially contracting with zero emission freight -- that's the new bar for corporate sustainability, and we're encouraged by this trend. Matt also announced the groundbreaking for FM Harbor, our next charging depot with 9 MW of power, located in the Port of Long Beach. Joining Matt on the panel is Emmanuel Carrillo, CEO of Talon Logistics Inc., a true leader who has already converted 20% of their fleet to zero emission and is one of our first customers at FM Harbor. Its a true partnership - Forum takes care of the electric side, Talon is free to focus on the trucking, and we each get to focus on what we do best. Thanks to this Administration for providing support and leadership, and especially to the Joint Office of Energy and Transportation for pulling this great event together and laying out the National Zero Emission Freight Corridor Strategy https://lnkd.in/ggDpeMfN Check the show out here: https://lnkd.in/gccZasxb
