April fools day! There is widespread debate as to the origin of today, but one thing we can all agree on, and that is we need to to be more critical of new information-especially on April 1st. Remember that time Taco Bell said they bought the Liberty Bell and was going to change the name to the Taco Liberty Bell? Why do we feel the need to try and “fool” someone anyway? Sent this to our team this morning and thought it was worth a share here. Good morning! A thought, I have a few people I've been chasing for a while FINALLY reach back out this week. Just proof that things happen on other people's time and when they need something. Our job, as above average sales people, is to find a way to stay in front of them every so often. Could be a text with something that made you think of them. It could be a birthday. It could be "I'll see you Expo"... WHATEVER it is we must stay in front of people. There are 2 sayings for people we don't see: 1. Absence makes the heart grow fonder or 2. (The one that 99% applies to sales) Out of sight, Out of mind! Our #1 goal every day: Be the most visible and interactive brand in pizza. We do this by staying in front of people. All people. Customers AND prospects. Let's Go! Big Day!

Have to say it - the best way to even up your odds in sales is: ❌ Buying lotto tickets But ✔ Taking daily proactive sales actions If it feels overwhelming - try this: Take 3 x Proactive Sales Actions every day. What counts as a Proactive Sales Action? ✅ Make a phone call (come on, you knew I'd say that one!) ✅ Send a LinkedIn DM ✅ Send an email ✅ Post a handwritten note ✅ Send a helpful resource ✅ Introduce two people to each other ✅ Invite them to an event The one proviso? 🤔 Don't select 'Send an email' and just send emails. The email inbox is getting remarkably clogged by all accounts. Potential clients triage email like an overworked nurse in ED. If you're not urgent, you may be waiting a while.
