Hey everyone, How's it going? I have some news to share, and it's bittersweet. Maayan Apelboim is leaving us, and I'm feeling quite sad about it. Yes, I know I already mentioned it, but it's really important. So, we're on the lookout for a new DevOps Engineer. I won't list all the technical details here; they'll become evident as you read on. We're looking for someone truly passionate about technology, a genuine geek who embraces their expertise without apology. Someone who can argue their professional opinions with fervor, yet set it all aside to enjoy lunch with the very people who might have driven them mad (yes, Tamirs, I mean you... or any DBA). We're after someone who can afford to be lazy because they're just that efficient. Someone as curious and sharp as they are neurotic. Note: sanity is *not* a job requirement for this team. In short, we're looking for Maayan v2.0. So, if you're reading this and think you fit the description, go ahead and apply. Who knows, it might just work out. And if you don't see yourself in this description, maybe you know someone who does. If so, point them in my direction. Looking forward to meeting the next member of our team!

CEO | Tech Leader in AWS, SaaS, DevOps, Kubernetes, Terraform, Serverless and Cloud-Native Development
The role of a DevOps engineer is to ensure the unification and automation of the processes. By bridging both teams, DevOps engineers automate and optimize software deployment and delivery to make the process faster and more efficient. How can you identify a good DevOps engineer for your team? Well, we can consider these aspects: ✅ Excellent knowledge of Linux servers and Networking. ✅ Very dynamic in managing AWS services, including Amazon S3, EBS, EC2, ECS, and VPC. ✅ Love for automating with Bash, Python, or IaC tools. ✅ Great communicator. ✅ DevOps certifications such as an AWS Certification, a Terraform Certification, a Kubernetes Certification, or a Docker Certification. Their tasks and responsibilities may vary depending on the organization, team characteristics, and project requirements. But here’s a general overview of their most common responsibilities. Does this role have the same tasks as a #SoftwareEngineer? They have different responsibilities in a software production environment but also overlapping roles. Check out a complete comparison in the comments. And follow me for more DevOps content. #devopsbestpractices #devopstasks #devopsculture #softwaredevelopment
