Thinking out loud and sugar coating it. Someone please hire me, I'm so sick of door dashing to people I grew up with in this small town. 😂 I've learned a lot about them. How they lie about not receiving their order so they get free food, and I get a "contract violation" from door dash, even though my GPS clearly showed I've arrived and I clearly provided a photo of proof. Then I get less and less orders as a result of their lie. How they complain on Facebook all the time about how people are bad tippers and then they tip poorly. How nobody can say a simple thank you when you do something for them and they just rip their order out of your hands and slam their door. Why does it seem like people have gotten extra rude and greedy after the initial covid shutdown? Even on my bad days, I don't treat people like this. With that being said, Im still looking for a job. Winter is quickly approaching and because I own a kia that is at national risk, no insurance company will provide coverage to me so I can't risk driving in winter so I will be back to $0 again. I'm interested in all remote roles but at the end of the day my passion is in beauty and I would LOVE a role such as Account Executive, Sales and Training Executive, Regional Beauty Business Consultant, or similar. I prefer a more creative industry, but I will kick a$$ in any job. #opentowork #opentoconnect #salesmanagement #accountexecutive #esthetician #beauty #beautybrands

If I had a nickel for how many times I have heard a client say "We only want *Insert cliche synonym for AMAZING TALENT*" (trust me I have heard it called a thousand different names) I could have comfortably retired...like three years ago. 🤣 Here is the thing, everyone wants to bring A-Players to their team, but do you actually have what it takes to attract them? Here's the harsh reality: You can't follow that statement up with "we typically pay XYZ dollars and our commission is uncapped and we have medical, dental, and a 401k, we have pizza parties, and a holiday party, and we even have a nice culture." A-Players don't get paid typical salaries with typical benefits. And don't even get me started on retaining them! #hiring #recuriting #sales #security #publicsafety

How did I get here? From endless rotating shifts to remote work in the blink of an eye 🧿 I fell in love with a profession I never imagined was for me. I was working overnight in hospitality, and I was exhausted. When a friend told me about BetterPros, I never imagined my place within the company would be in Sales 🤯 I wasn't entirely clear on what I wanted for my career, but I knew I needed to change my lifestyle ASAP. I never thought my passion would be here. My parents are salespeople, and I always adamantly refused to imagine a future doing the same. To this day, I finally found a vocation in a way that still seems magical to me 💞 I honestly love working as a conversation starter. It is so fulfilling to have the chance to meet so many different types of human beings every day. It requires a lot of patience and empathy, and I appreciate that. You have to put yourself in each person's shoes and understand where their needs are (in a conversation that only lasts twenty minutes!). Every time I sit with a potential client, in no time I have to identify their needs, understand what they're actually trying to tell me, and figure out how I can help them: it's the closest thing to speed dating I've encountered in the professional world 🕜 This is extremely fun, and I am grateful to experience working this way: having a good time while doing what I'm good at. #BetterPros #WorkLifeBalance #FindingPassion #RemoteWork #SalesProfessional #ProfessionalGrowth

Approaching nearly a full year since my period of unemployment commenced, I find myself deeply resonating with the sentiments expressed in this post. Numerous individuals navigate challenges that remain concealed behind the scenes, and it is imperative that we acknowledge the complexities of these situations. When evaluating candidates for a position, the expectation is that they embody qualities such as honesty, openness, and effective communication. Therefore, it is only fitting that we reciprocate these expectations and extend respect to one another. Providing transparent feedback on why an applicant wasn't selected, openly delivering unfavorable news – these actions are integral components of our professional responsibilities. Communication, in all its facets, plays a pivotal role. My heartfelt prayers go out to those facing heightened struggles, surpassing the difficulties of day to day life encountered before. It's crucial not to take setbacks personally, to maintain resilience, and to persevere. Despite the challenges, it is essential not to surrender. The beacon of hope at the end of the tunnel will inevitably illuminate our paths.
I'm trying not to worry, but I'm at 11 months of no legitimate income. I was living paycheck to paycheck before. I haven't been able to pay any bills except my phone. I already lost my apartment. Where I'm temporarily living, the person is selling their house in a few months. I'll have nowhere to go. My dog and I will be living in my car. I've had over 100 interviews. SO many final stages. SO many hiring managers said they hired someone else and then reposted the job with no legitimate feedback about why I wasn't chosen. SO much ghosting. I'm so sick of being strung along for so many interviews just for my time and worth to be disrespected by people who have literally no excuse to not hire me. PLEASE. ACTUALLY consider me for your Customer Success Manager, Sales Development/Sales Manager, Account Manager/Executive, Account Coordinator, TA, HR roles. Open to multi unit/regional as well. Anything similar. I'm lucky to have had different experiences, so I have a very wide range of skills. I can quite honestly do anything that I put my mind to, and do it exceptionally well. Remote preferred as it gets me back home to the south faster where rent is WAY cheaper. My dog can't stay in my car while working in a building, so we NEED to get back. This is why I NEED remote. When I started my journey I was looking for in person and hybrid as well, but now I have no time left to consider those before being homeless again. It's too expensive here in WI/MN to save fast enough, after 11 months of damage, UNLESS I land a job in a few weeks that pays very well. Please help. Directly connect to a hiring manager if you can. Thank you 💓💓💓 Edited to add gofundme as requested: https://gofund.me/99b9529d #opentowork #opentoconnect #humankindness #humanresources #talentacquisition #customersuccessmanager #salesmanagement #accountexecutive #accountmanager #empathymatters #beauty #wellness #fashion #luxury

Partner @ The Mullings Group, Board Member, "24 in '24 Top Voices in Med Tech (MD+DI)", Host of The Bleeding Edge of Digital Health Podcast
“$350K is the new $250K!” Last week, I had a client hear this from a candidate in NYC, whom was interviewing for a Sales Rep role w/ a very exciting new start up Med Tech company. The client and I had a good laugh…but itgot me thinking about a truth I have learned over the years in search: “The market will always tell you what the right compensation is for a given role.” Yes, Radford, Thelander, and other comp. reports can provide valuable guidance. But each hire is unique, and may have certain dynamics that can skew the figures significantly. $250K total comp @ plan may be adequate to attract top talent in most markets. But in markets like So Cal, No Cal, and NYC…it can fall short. A rep in Indy, whose at plan comp is $250K, but whose making $315K+ might be able to go back to $250K/year for a period of time while he/she builds up a new territory. Their cost of living is likely well beneath $250K/year. But a rep in CA or NYC, whose making $315K+ may not have that luxury. They may rely on making that to support their quality of life. Regardless of their interest or excitement, seriously considering the role may not be an option. It poses an interesting predicament. Does the company hold firm and wait until they can identify a quality candidate for whom $250K works? Or do they find a way (thru cost of living adjustments, sign on bonuses, etc), to bridge the gap in these higher cost of living areas? There’s +’s and -‘s to each approach. And there’s never an easy answer. But it’s a decision that most companies are forced to make at some point. Listening to the market, it will tell you the cost of talent. And accurate information is the foundation for making good decisions. If not, a lot of time, energy and resources can be wasted by blindly relying on the data extracted from a compensation report…even if it’s accurate most of the time. #compensation #hiring #recruiting #medtech #digitalhealth #medicaldevice #medicaldevices
