This important legislation contains an updated version of the Medically Tailored Home-Delivered Meals Demonstration Pilot Act. 🌡️☀️ Last week, the Washington metro region experienced a dangerous heat wave. But even in extreme weather, our drivers are on the road six days a week delivering medically tailored meals and groceries to neighbors in need. Food & Friends' delivery team covers a region spanning 6,172 square miles from Hagerstown, MD to Fredericksburg, VA–a total area about the size of Connecticut. These volunteer and staff drivers are also critical links to the community for neighbors dealing with social isolation and serious illnesses.
