FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Investing in Success: FABICash Donates $15,000 to Empower Fond du Lac Ojibwe School and Students Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa – Cloquet, Minnesota (May 3, 2024) – FABICash, a leading provider of cash access solutions in the gaming industry, proudly announces its $15,000 donation to the Fond du Lac Ojibwe School (FDLOS), presented at a special event on Wednesday, May 1, 2024. Nick Rabito from FABICash and Dan LaPrairie, Black Bear Casino General Manager, presented the donation to FDLOS administrators Valerie Tanner, Principal, and Tara Dupuis, Superintendent, alongside students. "When this opportunity to donate to a worthy cause presented itself, my first and only thought was the Fond du Lac Ojibwe School," said Daniel LaPrairie, Black Bear Casino General Manager and FDLOS ‘90. FABICash has had a longstanding partnership with the Fond du Lac Band since spring 2021, providing cash services at both casino properties. Initially, FABICash committed to making a $5,000 charitable donation annually to a charity chosen by the Fond du Lac Band. After three years of successful collaboration, FABICash consolidated its contributions into a lump sum donation of $15,000 to the Fond du Lac Ojibwe School, demonstrating its continued support for education and community development. Moving forward, FABICash remains committed to making annual $5,000 donations to charities selected by the Fond du Lac Band. "We are immensely grateful for this generous donation from FABICash, which will undoubtedly make a significant difference in the lives of our students," said Superintendent Tara Dupuis. Moving forward, the FDLOS will collaborate with student ambassadors and teachers to maximize the impact of this donation. Plans include fulfilling teachers' wish lists, providing resources for enhanced educational experiences and through thoughtful planning, the goal of the school is to broaden learning opportunities that empower students to thrive.
