The country of Tanzania does an outstanding job of protecting its natural resources and utilizing all the tools available in its toolbox to do so - including sustainable regulated hunting. Here are some water cooler facts: In total about 40% of the total land mass of Tanzania is protected / conserved. Thats more than TRIPLE what the United States does (~13%). Hunting areas account for 50% more land conserved than all National Parks combined. 28% of all the land in Tanzania is conserved by hunting concessions. If you asked any conservation scientist what is THE critical component for wildlife conservation? They will all say the same thing - habitat protection. Next time you hear folks talking about banning hunting - ask them a simple question who will take over protecting these areas? These habitats? Data courtesy of TAWA

Our conversation yesterday with Megan Cromp of Key Conservation Conservation introduced us to a groundbreaking digital platform for empowering individuals and organizations to collaborate in conservation. Organizations around the world are working tirelessly to save wildlife and wild places, often with limited resources. Sometimes organizations are doing similar work, but they’re not talking. And then there are talented individuals who want to help, but don’t know how to best use their skills, time, expertise, and funds. To explore the Key Conservation platform and its features for bringing them all together: https://lnkd.in/df4E29p 1. Skill sharing. 2. Local action. 3. Funding transparency. 4. Meet other conservationists.

Board Director. M&A Adviser. Business Consultant. Early Stage Investor. Chinese Companies Going Overseas.
Among the heated discussions about Giant Panda going to US, there has been some kind of conservation activism going on there in China. While most of topics are based upon sensational disinformation, there is a bright point: conservation awareness. This is probably the best opportunity to promote wildlife conservation in China.
