Historically, the US truckload market has been locked into a binary concept of “full” or “empty” when it comes to trailer capacity. We are challenging both Shippers and Carriers alike to rethink this,” said Chris Pickett, Flock's Chief Operating Officer. ”With 43% of truckloads moving only partially full, there’s a massive opportunity for businesses to maximize trailer utilization and reduce overall transportation spend with our Shared Truckload solution.” 📊 We recently released a study in collaboration with Drive Research that provides a data-driven look into the underutilization of truckload space and its economic impact. 📈 Visit the article below to learn how these findings can inform shipping strategies to drive industry-wide change. https://lnkd.in/ghDN7u5R

Speaking during a State of Freight webinar by FTR | Transportation Intelligence, Avery Vise, vice-president of trucking for the industry forecaster, said there’s not much to be excited about in the current #freight environment, but nor is a collapse in #trucking demand anticipated. #truck #transportation https://lnkd.in/gkzaSNSs

Every underloaded truck leaving your warehouse adds 10% more to your fuel costs! Think about the impact! Each half-filled truck isn't just about the empty space—it represents: ---Lost profits ---Increased operational costs ---Damaged brand Reputation Every unused inch means extra trips, more fuel, and longer hours on the road. And the time lost? On average, improper loading adds 15 minutes per cycle. This affects more than schedules – it affects customer trust. But what if you could change all that with one smart move? Switching to automated dimensioners can revolutionize your loading strategy. These tools precisely measure each package and feed the data directly to your Transportation Management System (TMS). This enables: 📦 Optimal loading plans 📦Full capacity utilization 📦Efficient and safe operations Imagine your trucks rolling out, now fully loaded. You're not just cutting down on trips and slashing fuel costs, but also ensuring your deliveries are right on schedule. With on-time deliveries and undamaged goods, you're not just moving products—you're delivering reliability. Remember, getting the size right isn't just a 'nice-to-have'; it's a 'must-have'. And it all starts with nailing those dimensions. #logistics #supplychain #truckloading

🚛 Never a dull day in shipping and logistics! The spot market continues to dip in activity which is echoing the challenges we all faced back in April 2020. With fewer trucks on the road and a slower pace in freight demand, it's a time of change for all of us in logistics and shipping. 📉 The latest stats from DAT Freight and Analytics show a week-to-week drop of 8.6% in load posts, taking us back to figures last seen during the early pandemic days. And with a load-to-truck ratio nearing those same historic lows, it's clear we're navigating a market that's as dynamic as ever. But here's the twist: despite these shifts, the capacity is reducing at a snail's pace, not fast enough to kickstart a new market cycle. It's a reminder of the resilience and adaptability required in our industry. 🔍 At Becker Logistics, we're keeping a close eye on these trends, always ready to adapt and innovate. Because no matter the market conditions, our commitment to delivering exceptional service remains unwavering. #Logistics #TruckingIndustry #MarketTrends #BeckerLogistics
