PROUD TO BE TEAM IRESS
It's my third anniversary at Iress today, and oh - what a roller coaster it has been! A takeover offer, a change in CEO and management team, a new strategic direction, new divisions and a transformation.
As Iress released its FY23 result yesterday and my third year turned over, I contemplated whether the title of this post should be "Proud to be Iress", "Proud to be an Iressman" (get the pun?) or "Proud to be an Iressian." Whatever we call ourselves, I'm proud to be part of Team Iress and think its time we shouted it from the rooftops.
Most people know that we are in the middle of a transformation program. These processes can be tough, and what's going on at Iress is no exception. Within a relatively short timeframe we restructured, appointed new business heads, sold businesses and made the difficult but necessary decision to reduce staff numbers.
Iress starts 2024 focusing on product innovation and roadmaps, client service and transparency in financial reporting.
Change creates both uncertainty and opportunity. It's a time to focus on delivery but also to wave the flag and celebrate the good.
I want to lead the charge by declaring - this is a great business with strong recurring revenues, great clients, great people and great prospects. Our predecessors built sticky products in big addressable markets. We acknowledge the roots they planted. Our job is create green shoots from those roots.
Yes, the journey is tough and we still have lots to achieve. But we are well underway, and there's light at the end of the tunnel (it's not a freight train!).
Thanks to all of Team Iress. I'm proud to be on the team.
