📢 Only 2 days before the beginning of the EFMC-ASCMC symposium in Zagreb, Croatia! NovAliX will take part in the scientific poster session on September 5th and our team will be at your disposal during the event. 👨⚕️ Dr Matthieu J., Associate Director for Synthetic Chemistry, will present a poster entitled "New N-Heterocyclic Bicyclic Scaffolds via a Photocatalyzed Minisci Reaction/Cyclization Sequence". The topic was developed with co-authors Marie Auvray, Philippe Jubaut and Thomas Poisson (all from Normandie University, @INSA Rouen, France). In pharmaceutical research, access to original heterocyclic scaffolds remains a major challenge. Indeed, they constitute molecular structures with unique chemical and biophysical properties. They are also innovative molecular frameworks on which various chemical functionalities can be grafted and are therefore pivotal structures for drug discovery. Beyond originally, specific attention is currently drawn on the reduction of the large degree of flatness due to the recurrent inclusion of standard aromatic rings. Aromatic rings reduction or inclusion of spiro centers are among the prime tools for increasing the three-dimensionality of potential drug candidates. 🎯 The goal was to develop a short and practical sequence to get access to original C-sp3 enriched bicyclic scaffolds, bearing functional groups as starting points for further decorations. I wanted to share a fascinating poster from a collaborative work between 赛默飞世尔科技 and Advanced Electrophoresis Solutions Ltd. (AES), showcasing the first-ever whole-column detection icIEF-MS workflow for cysteine-linked ADC (polatuzumab vedotin and brentuximab vedotin) charge variant analysis under native conditions. This innovative approach successfully separated and identified charge variants of these ADCs using CEInfinite icIEF multifunction system and high-resolution Orbitrap Exploris 240 MS. The icIEF method separates charge variants based on PTM-induced charge heterogeneity more than bioconjugation-induced heterogeneity. The CEInfinite icIEF-MS online system for intact ADCs is a powerful tool for capturing not only the primary PTMs contributing to charge variants but also providing detailed drug load and positional isomer information on interchain cysteine-conjugated ADCs—information that traditional IEX methods may struggle with.

🔔 I'm sharing with you 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐛𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐲, which compares the performance of Kimialys bioconjugates with competitor kits in lateral flow assays. 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: ✅ Kimialys’ bioconjugation kit achieves a detection sensitivity in lateral flow assays that is on average 15 times greater (LoD) than other leading commercial kits. ✅ Kimialys has a rapid protocol, producing high yields of bioconjugates. We optimized competitor kits using Kimialys’ bioconjugation protocol, achieving bioconjugate yields from 80% to 96%, enhancing visual LoD by up to 2.5 times, and reducing protocol time by up to 2 hours. 👇 For a detailed study, the link to the whitepaper is available in the comments below.
