On Friday, June 28th, the Supreme Court ruled that cities can punish people for sleeping in public places. Regardless of this court decision, the mission and focus of Families in Transition remains unchanged. We will continue providing services and outreach to those who need us. Our goal is to transition people experiencing homelessness into secure, safe, affordable, and accessible housing. Our shelter doors remain open for those in emergency need as we work with the city, fellow nonprofits, and residents of our communities to work to end homelessness in New Hampshire. WMUR spoke with the President & CEO of Families in Transition, Maria Devlin, and other homelessness advocates about the ruling and its impacts on those we serve.
