Back on board after a period of illness. The key to supporting young people in these changing times lies in our education system’s ability to equip them with critical thinking skills and the courage to question. The ability to analyse, critique, and think independently is crucial for navigating the complexities of today's world. In philosophy, we encourage learners to engage critically with what they read and hear. To question and interrogate. Ideas play a central role in exploring questions or problems. Not just posing them, but actively developing them. This approach fosters a mindset that's essential for future leaders and changemakers. It's about nurturing an environment where questioning, critical thinking and idea development is not just accepted, but encouraged. As an educator, I have a responsiblity to develop an environment that cultivates the knowledge, dispositions and skills necessary for thoughtful and informed engagement with the world.
