HAPPY EMPLOYEE APPRECIATION DAY! Thank you to our amazing employees for supporting one another and our members every day! 🎉 👏 To embrace the cheesiness of this day, we've made a special delivery of cheese and the famous "Who Moved My Cheese?" book! While most people in our industry will tote the line, "who you hire matters," I could not agree more. there is a different perspective to take it a step further. I know that who we work for matters just as much. Not all lenders (employers in this case) are created equally. I hope that all LOs and mortgage industry professionals get the feeling I do when I start my workday. I genuinely enjoy who I work for from leadership to the help desk. They have shown me on multiple occasions that I matter to them. They have shown me that I have value here. How do you think that will translate to my clients? How about my referral partners? How much impact does this have on my every day dealing with the markets and the community I serve? A LOT. It makes a significant impact. I came home to this package. I had no idea it was coming. Last month something came as well. For no specific reason, I was sent something to know they were thinking of me. If we do this for our sales team, imagine the lengths we go to for our clients. If you are toughing out this market in our industry and your employer doesn't make you feel the same way, maybe we should talk. The market is brutal enough but there is no need for compounded negativity. #atlanticbay #mtgbysinar

Legal Recruiter & Talent Acquisition Specialist at Direct Talent Solutions | Expert in Sourcing & Networking | Skilled in Candidate Assessment & Placement | Connecting Legal Professionals with Prestigious Law Firms
Companies now expect you to demonstrate your passion for their mission. Really? Give me a break. Can we just drop this charade? Tell them you're passionate about the essentials—eating, paying your mortgage, filling up your car, buying shoes, or grabbing a bite. A job is simply a business deal. Consider the hundreds of thousands who were laid off this year. They were all passionate at some point. See where that got them? When companies genuinely care about treating their employees right… When they truly value fair pay… When they look for ways to save money without slashing departments… Only then do they have the right to talk about passion. Until that time, can we stop making a big deal about it? Let's handle hiring as the professional process it is, not like some kind of love story.

For those of you in the mortgage underwriting biz, keep the faith. I see a lot of people posting bleaker and bleaker outlooks. As we all know, there are ups and downs in the industry. This is just one of the longer downturns. Best you can do is keep applying for positions, reaching out to HR and hiring managers to introduce yourself and make sure your resume is up to date and good for keyword searches. In the meantime, just stay updated on guideline releases from the big GSE's and in the offtime try and keep yourself challenged on a daily basis. Learn a new skill. Even if you're tired of this industry, you can always start learning a new trade to pivot out of. Just remember, this WILL turn around. One day you will laugh at all of this when you're doing another 60-65 hour workweek drowning in files to be completed. :)

Revolutionizing the way loan officers achieve success | Layton Financial Services Corp. - NMLS#1922806 | Owner & Mortgage Broker - NMLS #457575
I've always been fascinated by the concept of productivity, not just as a measure of output but as a reflection of personal and collective well-being. We often get caught up in the hustle and bustle of our daily tasks, forgetting to pause and evaluate the quality of our work and, more importantly, the quality of our lives. In our mission at Layton Mortgage, we emphasize a people-first approach, and that includes fostering an environment where our team members can thrive both professionally and personally. We believe that the key to unlocking this potential lies in focusing on what truly energizes us. When we align our daily activities with what brings us genuine joy and fulfillment, we not only elevate our productivity but also contribute to a more harmonious and innovative workplace. Imagine a work environment where you're not just clocking in hours but are genuinely excited about what you're doing. Where your contributions are not just valued but celebrated. Where you're not just a cog in the machine but an essential part of a vibrant, dynamic team. This is what we strive for at Layton Mortgage. Our core values, from trust-centric culture to continuous evolution, are designed to create a setting where you can bring your whole self to work, engage deeply, and find meaning in what you do. So, how do we go about achieving this? It starts with self-awareness. Take some time to reflect on your daily activities. What tasks make you lose track of time because you're so engrossed in them? What projects make you feel most alive? Once you identify these energy-boosting activities, make them a central part of your workday. The ripple effect of this simple yet profound shift can be transformative. Not only will you find yourself more engaged and productive, but you'll also inspire those around you to bring their best selves to work. At Layton Mortgage, we're not just offering jobs; we're offering a lifestyle—a chance to be part of a community that values you as a person, not just as an employee. So, if you're looking to make a meaningful impact in your career and in the communities we serve, we invite you to join us in this exciting journey. Together, let's redefine what it means to be truly productive, in every sense of the word. #LaytonMortgage #Opportunities #productivity

“Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.” – Ferris Bueller Yes, we work hard. We turn out reports in 4 days on average. We update our clients every single day. We train new appraisers entering the profession and advocate for additional methods to train those new appraisers. We are even breaking down barriers to entry. At RSDS Appraisal Diversity we are doing all this and more…but we play hard too. Scaling a company that is spread across cities, states, and the entire country is no easy task. One thing we do exceptionally well is build a community among 235+ employees who are spread across those multitude of states and regions. We laugh, we cry, we cheer each other on. We are connected through our mutual experiences, understanding, and commitment to fostering a community of support and growth. “Coming from another company...which prided themselves on company "culture"....I can tell you RSDS does it right! In 8 years, I never really felt connected to this other company. Working remote - I felt I was just a faraway staff appraiser from the community of other appraisers in the company. But in just 4 months of being at RSDS - I actually FEEL connected to this company!” -Richard F If you are unhappy at your current employer -or- if you own your own one-man (or woman) shop & are looking for a community of appraisers to engage with, do give us a look. www.rsdsllc.com/careers PS: s/o to industry Titan Julie Molendorp Floyd, MNAA for making it out in the snow to our Kansas City Social event last night. #workhardplayhard #community #laughter #social #appraisal #mortgage #futureofappraising #futureofappraisal #realestate #appraiser #nationwidecoverage #hiring #hiringnow

Reflecting on the loyal bond between my dog and me, got me thinking. As a mortgage recruiter, I see parallels between this loyalty and what we seek in the workplace. Just like our furry friends, we yearn for a connection built on trust, support, and mutual respect. In the world of mortgages, loyalty is a two-way street. Here at The Money Store, we understand it's about creating an environment where dedication is valued and reciprocated. When employees feel appreciated and supported, they are empowered to give their best every day. If you're questioning the loyalty and support you receive at your current company, remember that it's okay to seek options that align with your values. Your loyalty to your company deserves to be met with appreciation and support, especially in times of uncertainty. TMS strives to foster a workplace culture where loyalty is treasured and celebrated. Where each team member feels like a valued part of the pack, just like a dog feels safe at home with its human. Feel free to reach out if you're ready to explore new possibilities that will give back the loyalty you hold so dearly, where you're confident in knowing you are a member of the pack! If you are guessing that you are and do not have the inner knowing, it's time for us to chat! #TheMoneyStore #ReciprocatedDevotion #LoyaltyInWorkplace #CareerOpportunities

I guess that’s the Clockwork difference. If you love helping people, making money, and consider yourself a critical thinker, DM me. There will be many opportunities in this industry in the next 5 years for those willing to put in the work. At Cornerstone First Mortgage we process, underwrite, and fund all in house. This true teamwork along with our Clockwork System is why we have the most efficient process in the industry. We also have the ability to broker to many other outlets, although not as efficient as in house. We have long lasting relationships with these mortgage companies and always close like Clockwork. If your rates are high, if you were asked to take a pay cut, or are losing critical employees to your business. Please DM me. Rates high = High margins Pay cut = They keep more same rates Losing employees = Your amazing processor that helps you with everything, gets pay cuts or even worse replaced by contract processors. If any of these things sound familiar let’s chat. If you are dealing with more than one of these issues you are doing yourself and your family a disservice.
