The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) and the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) of the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance collaboration, focusing on cross-border trade-related data exchange and business collaboration. The agreement aims to promote inclusive and innovative financial services through fintech and data in both markets. The MoU outlines plans for joint Proof-of-Concept projects, including connecting the HKMA’s Commercial Data Interchange to the ADGM’s SME Financing Platform. Excited to have participated in the second edition of the Dubai FinTech Summit where industry leaders converged to explore the future of financial technology in one of the world's most dynamic markets. Very excited to meet the French banking community again for a deep dive into the Digital Trade Finance opportunities enabled through new regulatory and legal options. Tomorrow evening's debates hosted by the Ministère de l'Economie, des Finances et de la Souveraineté Industrielle et Numérique will focus on 3 themes: (1) upgrading French law to align with #MLETR, (2) embracing new technologies to grow #digital #trade practices and (3) progressing advocacy around financial inclusion. I will be expanding on ITFA's Digital Trade initiatives which promote new tech-friendly policies and practices such as #MLETR #tokenisation #open #banking, and focus on progress achieved in #G7 countries such as UK and UAE.
