#OFNConf2023 left the LIIF team inspired and energized to roll up our sleeves as we get back to our work of nimbly deploying capital into historically excluded communities. As a co-host, LIIF provided planning input, had staff featured on three panels and led a tour to showcase our work in Washington, D.C.
We know this work cannot be done in a silo. That is why since LIIF’s inception in 1984 we have forged strong partnerships. CEO Daniel Nissenbaum brought together funders, investors, partners and federal decision-makers to hear about LIIF’s impact and work moving forward. The latter includes a comprehensive, three-pronged early care and education (ECE) business plan focused on facilities fund management, capacity building and government advisory services.
Additionally, LIIF CFO Panagiota Mahendru, CGMA spoke to our CDFI’s fiscal strength, which includes continued strong S&P and Aeris ratings. FY23 saw a record $292 million in lending for affordable housing and community facilities.
LIIF looks forward to continuing these conversations around lending solutions and policy priorities as we collectively break down systemic inequities to foster racial justice nationwide. This epitomizes the OFN theme of #CapitalMeetsPurpose.
