The summer months are always an exciting time, with vacations, backyard BBQs, pool trips, and many activities in between. Summertime also means many people are in and out of the office, with varying schedules and commitments. We believe the best way to avoid gaps and remain productive in the summer starts with planning strategically for your time away, particularly if you are in a production role like sales or recruiting. We encourage our team to focus on managing expectations, maintaining consistent activity levels, and utilizing technology to fill gaps where appropriate. Check out more tips for preparing for time away on our blog! #Summer #PTO #Communication #WorkLifeBalance #Technology #Preparation

Certified Spiritual Life Coach | Empowering Professionals to Break Through Barriers and Live Inspired Lives Aligned with Their True Self.
Success redefined: beyond the corner office! Let's redefine success beyond the conventional definition often fixated on career achievements—the corner office, the promotions. There's more to it than titles and paychecks. Success isn't confined to a specific job title or a corner office. It's about personal growth, resilience, and the impact we have on others. It's about the seeds of evolution of who we are as individuals and how we positively contribute to other people’s lives and the world around us, through the meaningful connections we foster, the communities we uplift, and the causes we champion. That truly defines our impact and success. But there is even more to it, we cannot leave behind the corners of our soul. We should nurture it with self-reflection, and the commitment to continue learning towards achieving awareness. What's one aspect of success that goes beyond professional accomplishments for you? Share your vision of holistic success! #holisticsuccess #successredefined

In the student transportation industry, and really business in general, building strong relationships between teams is not just beneficial, it's crucial for success. Getting to know your team beyond their roles is essential for fostering collaboration and creating a supportive work environment. When you take the time to discover common ground and ask meaningful questions, you deepen connections and foster a sense of belonging within the team. By understanding your team members' interests, hobbies, and passions, you lay the foundation for a strong and cohesive team dynamic. Here are some key strategies you can implement starting tomorrow: Daily Check-Ins: Incorporate daily check-ins into your routine. Take the initiative to walk around the office, engaging in face-to-face conversations with your team members. Ask questions like "How's your morning?" or "What's on your plate today?" These small gestures of genuine interest go a long way. Interoffice Messages: Follow up face-to-face interactions with interoffice messages. Just a quick note to check in on workload or offer support can make a significant difference in bridging gaps between teams. Calendar Recognitions: Take note of your staff's birthdays and work anniversaries and acknowledge them appropriately. These acts of recognition show appreciation and reinforce camaraderie among team members. Weekly Reflections: Conduct weekly check-ins using tools like the Weekly Reflections email. This allows team members to reflect on their week, share wins and challenges, and identify areas where support may be required. For instance, ask questions like: How did the week go overall? What was your biggest win of the week? What was your biggest challenge? Do you need support in any area? Do you have any time off scheduled for next week? By implementing these strategies, you'll not only strengthen relationships within your team but also create a more cohesive work environment, ultimately driving our industry forward together! #StudentTransportation #Collaboration #Teamwork

Obsessed with helping ambitious companies nail their strategy execution using a variety of tools and frameworks. Creator of #1-3-5 and Founder at Reclaro; simple strategy execution software. Passionate lifelong learner.
When building plans most people overcomplicate things. Maybe they're far cleverer than me but I've always tried to make my plans as simple as possible and that increases the chance of nailing them. So if you're about to make a plan for your growing business just clarify 3 things: 1. 'Where' do you want to land at the end of the year? 🤔 2. What must you focus on most of your working week to get there? 👍 3. How are you going to nail the actions to achieve your 'what's' to reach your 'where' 👊 Use that as a starting point, get going and course correct as you learn more information. Keep it simple! 🚀🚀🚀 #focus #productivity #businessresults

Getting Marketing Sh*t Done | Culture-First Marketing Strategy for Established SMEs | Marketing Agency Delivering Results-Focused Branding, Digital Marketing & Employer Branding Services | Founder & Director at Freshbat
I set up Freshbat as a result of burning out horribly in my Head of Marketing role. While the experience of burning out was awful, it taught me a lot about how I wanted to shape my business as I embarked on my self-employed journey. I knew I wanted to create a workplace where the team feels like they have autonomy and the opportunity to step up and operate as their best selves 🌟 After all, we all have to spend an inordinate amount of time working, so why not make it as enjoyable as possible? So in the spirit of a business that values output over hours, I'm putting my money where my mouth is and have introduced a 4-day work week trial this summer 😎 I know a lot of people like the idea of a 4-day work week but in reality are quite resistant to implementing it in their own businesses so I'm really excited to see how this goes! We'll be reviewing it at the end of August to see if it's going to become a permanent arrangement for our team. How do you feel about a 4-day working week? #4dayweek #marketingstrategy #marcomms #strategicmarketing

𝐀 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐁𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐬 | 𝐄𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐧... Stepping into the new company's offices, a rush of nerves mingled with excitement coursed through me. With a brave face and determined mindset, I embarked on this journey into uncharted territory. The initial moments were a whirlwind of new-job jitters—meeting unfamiliar faces, navigating labyrinthine hallways, and deciphering the unique office culture. Amidst the bustling activity, anticipation and a hint of apprehension filled the air. Settling into my workstation, I reminded myself that every beginning carries its own set of challenges and opportunities. Taking a deep breath, I observed keenly, listening intently to ongoing discussions and absorbing the intricacies of daily operations. One particular aspect piqued my interest early on, sparking ideas about how I could contribute. Aware it was only my first day, I approached with caution, aiming to ensure my suggestions would be well-informed and respectful of existing practices. Throughout the day, each challenge became a chance to learn and grow. I kept in mind that adaptation takes time, and that significant achievements aren't realized overnight. By day's end, a mix of exhaustion and exhilaration filled me. The hurdles were real, but so too was the potential to make a meaningful impact. As I left the office that evening, I reflected on the day's events. I realized that facing the unknown with a brave face isn't just about external confidence; it's about embracing uncertainty with a readiness to learn, adapt, and eventually, lead change. Looking ahead, I felt prepared to tackle whatever challenges lay ahead, armed with newfound insights and a determination to make a difference. My first day at the new company was a whirlwind of emotions and experiences, marking the start of a journey brimming with opportunities for professional and personal growth. Now, with a two-day business trip on the horizon starting tomorrow, I feel a mix of nerves and exhilaration, eager to embark on the next chapter of this exciting adventure. #AgencyLife #NewBeginnings #Emotions

Today, we went for a walk. The sun shone and spring is coming! Yes, it’s only Tuesday afternoon. But we loved the opportunity to take a break from an already busy week. I know what you might be thinking. “You own your business, of course that’s possible.” Well, not necessarily, no. Why? 1⃣ Anyone running their own business knows, it’s a 24/7 job. So really I have to try harder than ever to be disciplined, structured and able to set priorities in order to have quality time with my family as well as do the best work I can. 2⃣ We are three people at Rogue Talent. But we have a structure and processes as though we are 200. These things are crucial from the start, and allow us the time to be successful and switch off when we need to. Make your company or the one you work within, one that gives people the opportunity for this level of autonomy at every level. Encouraging workplace autonomy has so many benefits. Most importantly, fostering trust among teams and transforming the atmosphere from hierarchical to collaborative. I believe the saying is “Control leads to compliance; autonomy leads to engagement.” (Daniel H. Pink) What do you do to break up your work week? #RogueTalent #FutureProofing
