July is National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month. This month-long observance, also known as BIPOC Mental Health Awareness Month, addresses the mental health needs of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities. Erlinda Delacruz, MA, Director of Community Programs for The Jed Foundation (JED), shared insight into the importance of this month, and how the organization is working to protect emotional health and prevent suicide among teens and young adults nationwide. Thank you to all those who attended the Maternal Infant Services Network (MISN) community baby shower in Newburgh! With the help of a maternal health grant provided by Fidelis Care, MISN hosted this event to give away baby care items to expectant and new mothers. Fidelis Care representatives were on site as well to answer questions about health insurance and help people sign up for coverage. #newburghny #babyshower
