55% of consumers say a frustrating checkout experience is enough to make them quit the process mid-transaction. 91% of consumers cite a satisfying checkout experience as significantly affecting their decision about whether or not to return to a merchant. Humble brag incoming... 🤷♂️ Across the board, we see unnecessary data collection, irrelevant information being displayed that clutters the page, pages breaking on mobile (the list goes on) during checkout. My hunch is that this usually occurs as a result of platforms bolting on features their users have requested, without considering the impact on the end-to-end journey. This is something that we are laser focussed on at Fanbase: - Stripping out unnecessary ‘noise’ from any purchase flow - Clear calls to action - Mobile optimisation - Providing an easy guest checkout option - Minimal clicks - Providing multiple payment methods - Scrutinising feature requests and how they fit into our experience In tandem with this, we continue to test our flows with a diverse group of people alongside tracking the data to see the impact of any changes. The result? We believe we have an industry-leading conversion rate (based on information available online) and the fastest purchase end-to-end through Fanbase is just 16 seconds 💨 We know we aren’t perfect, our backlog has plenty of enhancements in this area, but if we continue with this focus, it will always be a strength.
