Thank you, Michelle Wolf for your very real impression of those who tell women they can simply "do it all."

The Female Quotient This hits 1,000%. Every part of it. Just when I thought, "wait, she didn't menti-" yep, she went there. I know this is a comedy skit, but often some of the best ways to call attention to problems and changes that are needed are in entertainment, art, and humor. More👏 of 👏this 👏

Ah, but wait! Menopause is lurking around the corner like a mugger, waiting to steal your figure, self-confidence, short-term memory, and a hundred other little things you used to take for granted. Things no one told you about, and everyone expects you to accept and manage with the same grace you somehow managed all the other stuff.

I don’t know whether to laugh or cry at this skit! 😂 As a woman who has always held high standards for herself and always ‘wanted it all’ and then proceeded to ‘have it all’, marching back to work 12 weeks after each child birth twice (and breast-fed for years), this is 1000% accurate. And this is not just in the U.S. Ultimately, it’s not sustainable and comes at the expense of our sense of purpose — and there is nothing worse than being miserable (both as a mother and a professional) out of pure exhaustion. The terms under which we ‘have it all’ need to be in line with our well-being, versus turn us into robots. So much room for change and reform, so that career-driven women who are also mothers are not drained out of their brains. The space and time for rest and recovery are necessary and your body and mind will demand it sooner or later.

Well…pretty spot on, especially here in the U.S.! I was shocked to learn that women get an entire paid maternaty year off in Italy & Germany! Makes our 8 weeks look pretty Barbaric.

Even though it sounds funny, this is no joke. It is an anecdote of what many woman have to go through on a daily basis. This Wonder Woman syndrome is feed by the totally unrealistic self-expectations built by the world's expectations about us being a 10 at every single role and with little if not zero help. Completely Crazy! Permission to be human, permission to be woman.

Yes ! I grew up in the "you can have it all" generation. It was amazing to have more freedom and opportunities, but the message was a bit unrealistic and advertising was so confusing and transitional;. " you've come a long way baby, to get where you wanted to be! -- you've got your own cigarette now baby! And like the song, " she can bring home the bacon; fry it up in a pan....and never let you forget you're a man..etc. Having it all translated to actually doing it all, in this transition period. One particular stock photo is seared in my memory-- a smiling woman in business attire in front of a computer, on a business call, while pumping milk from both breasts. This was not as fun as they made it all look, and one felt guilty if we weren't doing it all! Some women actually ended up doing it all with little help from their partner. For lack of a better way of saying it-- taking on man's work in addition to women's work with no relief. Happily, the definition of having it all seems to be regulating finally, with more emphasis on quality of life, choices and appropriate partner support.
