It's a wrap: Nucleate Germany's First Activator Season 2023-24 After 1.5 years since the inception of Nucleate Germany, our Activator Demo Day in Berlin last Friday culminated in what we have been building all this time: A community and engagement-focused biotech Accelerator program, a thriving and diverse community, as well as a stellar Nucleate team that is driven to push it further to grow both the community and our programs. As we were wrapping up our first Nucleate Germany Activator cycle, we celebrated the development of this year’s impressive Activator cohort. And again, we brought together the biotech start-up community – with over 300 people signed up for the event, forming an engaged community of scientists, founders, investors, and others in biotech and pharma. It is an exciting step toward growing Germany’s biotech startup ecosystem for us, as we have supported a total of 11 early-stage biotech start-ups in Germany over the past two years and see such an energetic community consistently coming together across our events. A recap of the evening: We saw … … The fantastic pitches of the 8 start-ups from our cohort: Activa.TE EscapeAGENT, Fluvion, Jellyfish Bio, MIMBIOSIS, Reactosome, RevoBITs, Silica Corpora … Ulrike Rauh (Sack) sharing her wisdom on „Startup Hacks: Tips for Building Your Company" from her experience with PROSION Therapeutics and Trueline Therapeutics … Prateek M. elaborating on his „Lessons from the Trenches: Building a Deep-Tech Startup“ with BIOWEG … a panel on the future of the biotech ecosystem in Berlin and Germany, followed by a vivid Q&A with the audience (panelists: Jan-Philipp Kruse; Dr. Anela Vukoja; Univ.-Prof. Dr. Ing. Georg Duda; Dorothée Marie-Louise Doepfer). Thanks to all participating speakers and panelists; it’s been a pleasure!
