Fareway Stores, Inc. is partnering with Variety - the Children’s Charity to conduct the eighth annual Round Up at the register from July 1-20 at all 139 store locations. Customers will have the opportunity to round up to the next dollar or provide an additional donation on their grocery bill to help fund Variety’s mission. Dollars raised through the Round Up will provide mobility equipment to children living with special needs, as well as fund and deliver effective programs and grants to care for children who are underprivileged, at-risk, critically ill, or living with special needs. Last week, the Truck Driver Championship took place in Altoona, IA at Prairie Meadows and Fareway did not only have some of our amazing drivers participate but had a winner as well! 🚚 🏆 Pictured left to right: James Boyd, Erik McFarland, Mat Peterson ⭐ Erik went on to win 3rd Place in the Sleeper Division! Fareway Stores and Alliant Energy have partnered on a new solar field located at Fareway’s distribution center in the Boone Industrial Park. the one-megawatt Fareway Solar Field, consisting of nearly 2,000 solar panels, began service last week. Alliant will own, operate and maintain the solar field as part of the Alliant Energy Customer-Hosted Renewables program, which allows qualified customers with available land to host solar facilities and receive annual lease payments. The site will generate renewable energy for all Alliant customers and renewable energy credits for Fareway to offset a portion of its carbon emissions. https://lnkd.in/gPcbBGwm

Fareway Stores, Inc. announced plans to construct an approximately 17,000 square foot store at the southeast corner of 1st Street and Route 6 in Coal Valley, IL. This project is tentatively planned for 2026. “Communities depend on a local grocer to offer high quality products and unmatched service. We look forward to offering these qualities to Coal Valley and area residents with a new Fareway store,” said Fareway CEO Reynolds W. Fareway Stores, Inc. hosted a groundbreaking ceremony today for a new, relocated Fareway store in Spirit Lake. The new site will replace the existing Spirit Lake Fareway store to its new location at the northeast corner of 175th Street and Highway 71 in Spirit Lake. The new construction will provide for an approximately 21,000 square foot store. “The Spirit Lake Fareway has served the community with the best in customer service and quality since 1985. We are excited to reinvest in the community and provide a new store location, to continue to serve area residents,” said Fareway CEO Reynolds W.
