Yesterday’s nuclear engine post, which performed exceptionally well, reminded me of this TEDx Talk my father gave on the Classical Rocket Equation. He humorously yet expertly describes the limitations of traditional chemical rockets, and how significant their engineering truly is. One can imagine that restrictive equation being blown apart by the power of a nuclear engine, opening a new playbook on rocket efficiency. The Lockheed Martin DARPA contract is a remarkable milestone on this path. But until then, if you’re interested in brushing up on mass ratios, the great limiter of all vehicular transportation, then give it a watch.

🎥 In this video, Bedi Racule's poem, "See You Soon, Lagoon,” comes to life as she paints a beautiful and sad picture of the relationship between a woman from Bikini Atoll and her beloved lagoon, destroyed by the United States' nuclear testing regime. The woman in the poem mourns the loss of her ocean home and patiently waits for justice, the same way that many in the Pacific Islands do to this day. The video is a reminder of a shameful nuclear legacy in the Pacific and sends a powerful message: nuclear justice for Pacific Islands nations is long overdue. This video is the third installment in a series produced by the winners of APLN's 2022 Pacific Islands Creative Competition on "Nuclear Weapons and the Climate Crisis." from cargo ships and chemical refineries to off-grid developments, whole industrial complexes and even gigantic cargo aircrafts, safe SMR and Micro Modular Reactors (not sure if MMR is a term yet) are going to make all other alternative fuels too expensive by comparison. Also the bulk of their fuel can be sourced from the existing spent fuel stockpiles.

As fission is becoming fast, Out of step, interim and out of time, Soon to be decommissioned. It will be interesting as the fission fuel shortage becomes real as they try to treble the industry and advances in the renewables, hydrogen grid variable generation and batteries and fusion as a system solution of energy generation for the whole of the world and not just 39 countries out of 189 not for just the rich but for all without weaponisation, without pollution of our waterways and without the need to bury waste that is dangerous for 1000 of tears what a waste of time you are here. Fission is an interim unlike fusion and renewables, with the grid-attached variable hydrogen generators and batteries which are deploying faster in 189 countries, covering new jobs, income to countries as well as new industries and technologies as opposed to the 39 that fission can Fission fuel.
