Run, Forrest, run! I consider myself a runner. Even though some experts could have doubts while watching me run, I enjoy it. It is the perfect way to relax and clean up your mind, as well as a tremendous team-building element, especially when it comes to showing up for the morning run after a party the previous night. Running can clearly show you how strong your team is in the following elements: - Commitment: Check the difference between how many people promise you to come (the highest peak of promises is usually around midnight) and how many show up at 7:00 a.m. - Resilience: No one usually feels super fresh, but we can overcome that with more enthusiasm. - Performance: We are commercial guys; therefore, our target is usually the target of the best performer, as no one wants to admit that he can't make it. - Team spirit: A caring team doesn't leave any team members behind. This is precisely what happened to me last week during our EU B2C Summit, Deutsche Telekom, in Velen. My team lost me. One might argue that was the highest leadership level, as your team is capable enough to make it without you, right? Another option would be that I simply run too slowly. 😂 Thank you, Dimitris Michalakis, Nora Weber, Michal Valachovic, Harry Koninis, Martin Svec, MBA, and Simon-Peter Kasamas, for being strong enough and joining me. As soon as the pack catches up another domestique will surge ahead. The goal is to tire out the opposing team and requires strategy and skill in equal measure – much like in business. To keep this spirit running 🏃🏽♀️, our learning facilitator Julia Blonska provides us currently with some Leadership “nudges”. And since to the fact that sharing is caring I would like to share these small “nudges” also with you. Nudge No ①:  𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐲 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 – 𝐈𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 Why is this important? Because "A happy soul only likes to live in a healthy body." (Juvenal) And a happy soul makes the difference in #leadership! So, what can you do to take good care of yourself? Sometimes the small changes can have a significant impact, so here are some thoughts – but of course, what works for you is highly personal: 👉 Nilofer Merchant suggests a small idea that might have a big impact: Next time you have a one-on-one meeting, turn it into a "walking meeting" — and let ideas flow while you walk and talk ➙ #innovation & #inspiration https://lnkd.in/eE-pT4EK. 👉 Stop working early at least ONE EVENING this week and do something you enjoy. 👉 Get active: If time was not an issue – what would you love to do? Reading a new book? Playing some music? Listening to your favorite music? Cooking? Painting? Playing with your kids? Going for a long walk on your own? Riding the bike? Running? Playing golf? Meeting your friends? What was your hobby before you became too busy? And know it is up to you: Be active and feel free to share your best practices with the community. I would love to hear from you. After attending Steven Bartlett's The Diary of the CEO in Adelaide, I didn't know what to expect, and it totally blew my mind; if you can see him, do it. I have learned so many valuable lessons, and these are some of them: ✅ You have 5 buckets: knowledge, skills network, resources and reputation. The most important thing is knowledge and skills because they are the ones that will let you reinvent yourself many times. ✅ Always keep aware of the details in your company or your career; this would keep you apart from competence. ✅ You have to grow your brand by being consequent and true to yourself; you don't have to be thinking of pleasing everybody. It is better to be transparent and you would connect with people like you. ✅ Be aware of what to invest your time because it is the only thing that cannot be recovered. Invest in experience instead of material things. (I'm so glad my husband told me to go; it was a superb experience) And so many more, but I don't want to spoil it for you.
