Today is Indigenous Peoples’ Day, a day to honor and celebrate the rich and diverse cultures, histories, and contributions of Native Americans, as well as their resilience against genocide, forced removal from their homes, and systemic racism. Historically, this day has been called “Columbus Day”, but it is starting to be reclaimed as Indigenous Peoples’ Day by communities nationwide, including the City of Seattle in 2014 and the City of Tacoma in 2018. This reclamation dismantles the harmful anti-Indigenous myth that Christopher Columbus “discovered America,” which perpetuates colonialism and white supremacy. As we work toward our mission to build more vibrant and equitable communities, the Degrees of Change office is closed today so our staff can pause, reflect, and recognize the Indigenous lands we live on, and our Indigenous communities among us. We need not return to the nostalgia of the 1950’s but to embrace the reality of 2023-24 and the several existential threats we as Americans now face. We need a greater awakening and Great Revival again. We need to see Christians walk closely with God in seeking out His plans for the Body of Christ and America. We need not Christians walking afar from God in a form of godliness, but denyimg it’s power. We need to passionately be seeking out God through prayer and listening to the voice of the Holy Spirit and the reading of the Bible and hearing Bible pastors and teachers that teach the whole Bible and that are not cowards to engage speaking about what is actually happening in our world and country today. We need to see our borders, elections and economy truly secured not allowed to remain corrupted by those that share not our values as derived from Judeo-Christian values, the Bible and the Torah. We need more than just hope. We need a plan. Such will be shared soon for We The People to secure our future Freedom, Liberty, wealth and health. The few Good reps/politicians left are overwhelmed by those that are corrupt, Communist or even want to see America as a sovereign state, a Republic fall. United We Stand. Divided We Fall.
If we want to save America, we need to build our communities on objective morality. We need to build great businesses, get involved in our neighborhoods, and take pride in our American culture. America was once a great country because we prioritized peace and safety while rejecting crime and chaos. We embraced morality and tradition and believed there was great shame in living in a sloppy or nihilistic manner. For the sake of the next generation and the generations after, we have to reclaim this way of life again. I'm hopeful that we will.

🎅🎁 Did you find any surprises this morning? 🎁🎅 Today is St. Nicholas Day, a tradition that celebrates the generosity and kindness of the 4th-century bishop of Myra, who is also known as the patron saint of children and sailors. On the eve of St. Nicholas Day, children in many countries leave their shoes by the fireplace, the door, or the window, hoping that St. Nicholas will fill them with gifts, sweets, and coins. This year, the Clearview Relocation team were delighted to find some chocolate coins. Do you celebrate St. Nicholas Day? What did you find in your shoe?! #stnicholasday #shoesurprises #gifts #christmas #tradition. #clearviewchristmascountdown #christmas #christmas2023 #christmascheer #Clearviewrelocation #Clearviewimmigration #clearviewconsultancy #relocationservices #relocationspecialist #relocationexperts #clearviewway #clearviewconsultancy #relocations #relocationtips #relocationassistance #relocation #Immigration #visaimmigration

This National Reconciliation Week, we’re honouring the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We’re encouraging our people, and the communities we operate in, to learn about our shared histories and cultures and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia. This years theme, 'Now More Than Ever', is a reminder to all of us that no matter what, the fight for justice and the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people will — and must— continue. #NRW2024 #ReconciliationAustralia #NowMoreThanEver

In 2021 Ontario proclaimed August Emancipation Month and Canada named August 1 Emancipation Day. August 1, 1834 is the day when the Slavery Abolition Act of 1833 came into effect across the British Empire. We take this time to pause, acknowledge and reflect on the history of slavery in Canada and to celebrate its abolishment. OPA encourages all to continue the work and fully engage in eliminating both anti-Black and anti-Indigenous racism and discrimination. We work towards building a more inclusive, equitable community where everyone is treated with dignity and respect. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gRnHrq53 https://lnkd.in/gtvK-jm

27 May to 3 June marked National Reconciliation Week (NRW) which is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements. The theme, ‘Now More Than Ever’, was a reminder to all of us that no matter what, the fight for justice and the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people will —and must —continue.’ Each year, the Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) impact report gauges the remarkable influence RAP organisations have on reconciliation efforts. Here are just a few of the findings: · Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in leadership positions in RAP organisations increased to 574. · Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people on Boards increased to 606. · 18,588 formal and informal partnerships between RAP organisations and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations.
