"Do this", "don't do that", leadership advice. It tends to lean toward conforming people to an opinion or point of view. But… …what if we were to take away this noise? Allow people to express who they truly are? Understand their preferences - and unique qualities? Leadership is an amalgamation of experience and knowledge. And when we bring our true selves into the process, we form our own view of leadership. However, this comes with its own set of challenges. (As you’ll see in the video clip below). When Grant Gemmell (Director of Facet5) paid a visit to Poland earlier this year - Piotr (Facet5 Poland) had a few burning questions. So, they sat down to discuss the ins and outs of leadership. Unlocking the full potential of leadership involves mastering a diverse array of techniques. Join us on a journey through the labyrinth of leadership strategies, where each technique is a brushstroke on the canvas of effective leadership. 6. Laissez-Faire Leadership: In the realm of leadership techniques, laissez-faire stands as the art of allowing. These leaders provide autonomy, fostering a creative atmosphere. Yet, the delicate balance lies in having a self-motivated team ready to navigate the waters of freedom. 7. Autocratic Leadership: An autocratic leader wields the brush of decision unilaterally. Effective in emergencies, this technique paints a picture of swift actions. However, the challenge is avoiding the erosion of innovative landscapes that flourish under collaborative influence. 8. Democratic Leadership: The democratic leader employs a palette of inclusion, inviting team members into the decision-making process. This brushstroke cultivates ownership and collaboration, breathing life into decisions that resonate with the collective heartbeat. 9. Situational Leadership: Situational leaders are akin to artists adapting their style to the canvas before them. They assess the competence and commitment of their team, adjusting their strokes to match the evolving dynamics of the situation. 10. Strategic Leadership: The strategic leader takes a step back to appreciate the grand tapestry. With eyes fixed on the horizon, they plan and execute strategies that weave the organization into the fabric of its long-term goals. Stay tuned as we unravel more techniques, each a stroke in the masterpiece of leadership. #leadershiptechniques #techniquesofleadership #MasteringLeadership #RBLP #TheEliteLeaders #DuctusExemplo

3VQ and TED* Facilitator | Transformative Leadership Coach | Advocate: I guide pioneering leaders to foster empowered and inclusive teams with training that creates enduring change in both professional and personal lives
Recognising the need for change: "We've spent years fixated on external challenges—competition, product development—but neglected our internal cohesion. It created toxicity, affecting morale and performance." - CEO Ben (not his real name) stated. In today’s fast-paced world, leadership isn’t just about external strategies; it’s about looking inside first at our organisations' internal machinations. More importantly, it’s about being vulnerable and taking an inside-out journey of growth and understanding as leaders. As we’ve explored in CEO Ben’s leadership and organisational transformation over the past few weeks, embracing an inside-out approach lays the foundation for sustainable change and effective leadership. Today, I have gathered some of CEO Ben’s final insights, which he shared in the interview at the Center for the Empowerment Dynamic's 3VQ Trainer Annual Summit that amplified his transformative journey. You will find the blog here: https://lnkd.in/gbvtbHAk In our next week's blog, we’ll conclude Ben’s inspiring journey with 3VQ® and TED*® and explore how these tools reshaped his leadership style and organisational culture. #leadershipsuccess #insideout #changemanagement #peopleandculture #transformation #transformationalleadership #leadershipcoaching #executivecoaching #3vitalquestions #powerofted

Empowering Senior Female Leaders to Reach New Heights in Their Careers /Leadership Career Development Coach/Key note Speaker/Podcast Host
By proactively identifying potential issues, leaders can implement preventive measures to minimize risks and avert crises. This proactive approach cultivates an environment where challenges are anticipated and swiftly addressed, promoting operational efficiency and enhancing organizational stability. In practical terms, this proactive stance involves regular evaluation of performance metrics, fostering transparent communication channels with team members, and nurturing a culture that encourages the open discussion of concerns without fear of reprisal. Through these actions, leaders not only showcase their dedication to the organization's welfare but also cultivate trust and morale among their teams. Effective leadership, therefore, hinges on a blend of strategic foresight and decisive action when circumstances demand. #leadership #effectiveleadership #leadershipjourney #greatleadership #leadershipskills

Transparency. We hear this term often used when we describe successful and impactful leadership. But what does transparency really mean? There are countless interpretations, but one definition that I have found to be straightforward describes it: “Transparent leaders are open and honest with their teams. They want their people to have input on important decisions — and that means sharing information freely so everyone is informed and involved.” (Dave Nevogt) Leading with transparency can create opportunities to welcome feedback and shift our behavior by integrating new thoughts and ideas. Behaving transparently means incorporating self-awareness into our leadership practices. For many, being consciously self-aware is uncomfortable. Sometimes this uneasiness comes from embarrassment, difficulty with change or discomfort with being wrong. In turn, transparency can be perceived as unwelcome or a burden. In other instances, we may convey a certain level of transparency which aligns with our own degree of comfort in terms of how much we want to disclose. True transparency can be freeing. There is an opportunity to experience relief in sharing our concerns and soliciting viewpoints different from our own. In turn, providing an environment where input is positively received may solve a problem in a way that we wouldn't have considered. Transparency creates trust; Trust reduces stress and burnout and increases team motivation. We work with leadership teams to explore self-awareness and organizational transparency. Contact us for a free, half-hour consultation to see how we can work with you and your team. #transparency #leadershipdevelopment #leadership #selfawareness #transparentleadership

For many, it’s been a tough summer. Lingering economic uncertainty, persistently high interest rates, reductions in force, reorganizations, the lingering effects of COVID… We’re asking leaders to do more with less. But more than half of managers – at all levels – NEVER receive meaningful training. And yet 84% of employees surveyed say poorly trained managers reduce productivity and elevate stress. With budget cuts and staff reductions all companies are keenly focused on higher levels of productivity, not lower. What can leaders do? Take advantage of the Emerging Leaders Program from EWF International. This long-running, proven program is specifically designed to rapidly elevate managers into their role, and cement the foundation for their long-term growth by emphasizing: • Effective communication • Feedback • Conflict resolution • Delegation and accountability • Extending influence • ... and more The Fall program begins Oct 11 and seats are available. The essence of leadership! Curious to hear your thoughts and reflections! #leadership #leadershipdevelopment
Recently, someone asked us what we feel is the essence of leadership. In our opinion, the essence of leadership lies in the ability to recognize, acknowledge, and navigate the anxieties and tensions that are an intrinsic part of organizational life. Over the years, we have coached many leaders whereby a recurrent theme has been the difficulty of having to bear organizational anxieties and the strong, human need to defend oneself against these. Often by trying to solve these as soon as possible, with the hope that anxieties can be taken away. However, there will always be tension between the objective of the organization and the wider system of which the organization is part of. Instead of creating false hope that these will be resolved, e.g. by introducing another new organizational structure, organizing a teambuilding event doing fun stuff together, or blaming a few persons in the organization, we have become convinced over the years that the key task for a leader is to acknowledge, explore and try to understand the anxieties embedded in the organizational system. And more importantly, to provide a containing environment, a holding space, so that the anxieties, the tensions, the challenges, become bearable. This enables them to effectively carry out the organization's primary goals. Are you interested in exploring ways to effectively manage anxieties within your organization and improve leadership skills, whether it be for your team or yourself? Feel free to get in touch to learn more about creating a resilient and supportive work environment. #leadershipdevelopment #ExecutiveCoaching

Inconsistent toxic leaders damage organizations by creating uncertainty and anxiety among their teams. Their unpredictable behavior swings from charm to harshness, eroding trust and leaving employees unsure of where they stand. This inconsistency often leads to favoritism, forming cliques that undermine morale and fairness. Addressing such leadership requires early recognition and proactive measures like coaching, clear performance standards, and a culture of openness and equity. By tackling inconsistent toxic leadership, organizations can foster a productive environment where every employee feels valued and motivated. #management #leadership #toxic #elephantintheroom
