It was a journey together. We started off at the pre-mobilization workshop in Labuan on 17 Oct 2023. And here we are again at the end of this Well at KERDAS-1 and the end of our contract on 28 May 2024. SDSV Dwayne Kumpula, it was a pleasure working with you, Sir. We went through a lot the past 8 months or so. Truly we have made it this far and with your Leadership pulled this through. Yes, we had challenges BUT it is all in a days work. Otherwise, it would have been another slow day 👨💻, finishing the food at the mess hall 😋 , looking out the port window 😎 and entertaining human behavior issues 🤷♂️. I would say it it was fun in the end. I should have been more relaxed, come to think of it 😃. To the other team members, WE did it as a TEAM. As, I vividly remembered what I said at the workshop, 'As a TEAM we do NOT leave anyone behind.' And that we did not. We got through this with the TEAM. You and the other team members, rig leadership namely SDSV Tayalan, NDSV Lim Jit Yang, NDSV Radytio, OIM John Hathan, OIM Kishore, OIM Daryl Mark and all the other supervisors as well as every individual who contributed their time and effort to ensure we delivered the best we can with the constraints that we had. 🏆 Till we meet again. The industry is small and I am very sure our paths will cross again once more. Have a safe and perfect day!! The race is NOT over yet until you cross the finish line. #IACCoach #ACUK #MasterCoachX #LeaderCoach #ProcessFacilitation #LifeLongLearning #AccreditedTrainer #PerformanceExcellence

A Day of Learning and Growth! Yesterday, I had the privilege of assisting in facilitating the PKP (Supervisor Competency Development) training organized by the Learning Center section at PT BUMA. It was a valuable experience where I not only contributed to the event but also gained insights that enhanced my soft skills and deepened my understanding of personal competency development—a crucial asset in my career journey. #LearningAndGrowing #CareerDevelopment #SoftSkills #KnowledgeSharing

My reflections from the inspiring Hello Hires Onboarding Cohort 268: 1. Singing and learning the Petronas Maju Jaya song for the first time was an unforgettable experience. The lyrics, particularly the line about being a 'trust keeper' to the country's assets, deeply resonated with me. It reminded me of my duty to always strive for excellence in my work. CITA RAKYAT KAMI PEGANG TEGUH AMANAH NEGARA DIPATUH KAMI USAHA SETULUS HATI CEKAL TABAH IKRAR KAMI 2. During the opening plenary, I was deeply touched by Tn Mohamed Ilhami Idris, Head Legal Upstream's closing remarks. He underscored the significance of mental health and self-care, emphasizing that we must prioritize our well-being before we can effectively support others. This genuine concern for the well-being of our associates exemplifies the exceptional culture of our company. 3. During the onboarding program, I had the pleasure of broadening my network and connecting with other new joiners. It was truly inspiring to meet such ambitious and talented colleagues. My team, Class Sprinta, especially demonstrated exceptional cohesiveness, working together seamlessly to complete the assignments given to us. 4. On the final day, I was particularly moved by the speech from Tn Hj Shamsul Bahari Salleh, CEO PTLCL, where he used the metaphor of an empty or full glass. The metaphor represents how we perceive situations in life. If we see the glass as half empty, we may focus on what we lack or what's missing. Conversely, if we see the glass as half full, we may focus on what we have or what's present. Regardless of our perspective, it's important to know when to carry the glass and when to put it down. This means that we should be aware of when to think about a situation and when to let go of them. 5. Last but not least, the Petronas Leadership Centre is an awe-inspiring place. The luxurious surroundings, combined with the green scenery and friendly staff, are something to be cherished and remembered. I look forward to returning here for more training in the future, and who knows, maybe one day I'll have the opportunity to speak to new joiners during their HHO program. #PETRONASLEADERSHIPCENTRE #PETRONASOnboarding #PETRONASHHO268

Work Life Balance in Petronas? (1) It depends on what you wanna acquire, accomplish upon joining Petronas in the first place. (2) Depending on which Department or Subsidiaries are you reported to. (3) Obvious scenarios : (3.1) DOSH Major Turnaround : 3 - month stint. Mainly affecting Turnaround Engineers, Operations Engineers, Project Engineers, Technologist, Maintenance Engineers. Working 12 hours per day. Off day is only 1 day per week. (3.2) During Major Equipment Failures : Massive equipment failures such as compressors, turbo expanders, furnaces, pumps. Maintenance Engineers must be really hectic in troubleshooting the problems. Certain Plant 1 day production loss = RM 1 Million. (3.3) During Major Incidents such as Fire & Explosions : If involved fatality, DOSH might instruct for a 6 months unit shutdown for a rigorous investigation. Operations Engineers, Maintenance Engineers, Technologist and HSE Officers would be in a very hectic schedule. (3.4) During budget cycle : Most Staff would be very busy. (3.5) During KPI Cascading & Performance Contract : Most Staff would be very busy. (3.6) During Performance Appraisals : Most Staff would be very busy - compiling evidences and justifications. (3.7) During Technical & Financial Audit : Most Staff would be very busy. (4) Depending on criticality and urgency of the job, your Boss might be calling you after office hours or during weekends. If required, you might be instructed to come to the office beyond those office hours. (5) Bear in mind that if you're such fussy, arrogant, stubborn then your performance rating might be at stake. (6) Extreme cases : (6.1) A Utility Manager of Petrochemical at Terengganu , age 50 years old was instructed to be relocated at Plant in Labuan. In fact he got a heart problem. If he didn't oblige, he had to tender his resignation. It was an ultimatum. He obliged for the sake of his career with Petronas. (6.2) A Finance Officer at KLCC, being with Petronas for about 2 years, her husband working in KL, having 1 kid, was instructed to be relocated to Pengerang, Johor. Finally she tendered her resignation. (6.3) I've observed a few cases of anxiety amongst Staff, resulted in resignation. (7) So, are you resilient enough and loyal to work with Petronas? 😂😃😄

Being part of the team that developed Maersk Value Selling, it's always rewarding to see the time invested in its creation being appreciated. Let's continue to challenge ourselves to learn, adapt, and excel. 💪 #alltheway #valueselling #knowledge #continuousimprovement
Improving life for everyone by offering global, end-to-end, integrated logistics experiences. A Fantasy Premier League addict.
The key to staying relevant in today's fast-paced world is continuous learning. It's easy to fall into the trap of thinking that we know it all, but that's far from the truth. The older we get, we must strive to learn new things every day. I recently completed a course on value selling, and it opened my eyes to a whole new way of looking at things. I'm grateful to work for a company like A.P. Moller - Maersk that encourages its employees to learn and improve continually. Thanks to Lepaya for facilitating such a worthwhile course👏👏 Remember, if you can learn one new thing each day, that's a win. Let's keep pushing ourselves to learn and grow every day. #alltheway #valueselling #knowledge #continuousimprovement
