The first advertisement on TV only lasted for 10 seconds and was aired on WNBT, which was a local channel in New York.
The Bulova watches advertisement which took place on July 1, 1941, was aired before the beginning of a baseball game in New York between the Brooklyn Dodgers and Philadelphia Phillies.
The advertisement was simple, it only showed a black and white picture of the United States with a clock face showing the words "Bulova" and "Clock time", and a voiceover ran underneath announcing "America runs on a Bulova time". (A link to the commercial is dropped in the comment section).
The commercial was only seen by a few people as TV wasn't common at that time.
However, some research shows that there may have been a commercial done before this time, but it's the first legal commercial recorded which made it the world's first commercial aired on TV.
Now ads are not limited to only TV, you can run ads even on social media platforms, Once you understand what your target audience (customers) wants, you can understand this better when you attend the Business Aid Company event this Saturday 26th July, 2023.
