#analysis: KICC targets Sh2 billion revenue on renovation #excerpt SEPTEMBER 13 2023 "The Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) targets to raise near Sh2 billion revenue in the current financial year on improved business after netting Sh956.3 million in the 2022/23 fiscal year. The revenue realised for 2022/23 was a major improvement from the Sh669 million a year earlier." https://lnkd.in/dwx7PNgx #perspective Whenever the state propose to invest in wealth creation western governments employ Lawfare to block projects. Civil society organizations, and the legal system serve the interests of groups crippling development in Africa. Democracy is a tool designed by the colonisers to hobble Africa's development. Kenya is vulnerable to western malign forces because of the large Expatriate community, most are idle attached to western agencies, whose mission is to ezzagerate Kenya's risks; :15 September 2023 Latest update:Terrorists maintain a strong interest in attacking foreigners in Nairobi and other major population centres in Kenya. Attacks could occur at any time and with little or no warning. Avoid areas prone to attack and remain vigilant if visiting public areas. See more 'Full Advice – Safety - Terrorism'. Protests can be expected across Kenya. Avoid protests and political gatherings. Follow the advice of local authorities. We advise: Exercise a high degree of caution in Kenya overall due to the high crime levels and the threat of terrorist attack. Higher levels apply in some areas. https://lnkd.in/d-Kvb9i2 One can see Kenya stands no chance, western agencies, media and NGOs fabricate narratives as a way of discouraging investors and tourism. Despite smear campaigns, Kenya is attracting thousands of diaspora and African visitors, a statement that western propaganda machinery has been to crumble, Kenya is emerging as a darling of black media. Black media publishes, by a factor of as high as six times, more coverage than mainstream media on issues of importance to Black communities; #excerpt September 14, 2023 The African Diaspora is Demanding to Settle in Kenya https://lnkd.in/d2rydF7G Kenya is winning, infrastructure investment is attracting black investors who wants a level playing field to put their capital. Black media has open diaspora eyes, now they know they have an option, to live and thrive, nolonger trapped to oppression of the chockhold of white supremacists. Reverse migration has alarmed western ideologues and agencies, to inject discord western countries sought to push LGBTQ lifestyle in East Africa, turn the region into some type of Pattaya City, Bang Lamung District, Chon Buri, Thailand. Pattaya was turned into a sex capital by design, the City has Luo (Hebrew) identity I.e Lamung (Lammas) 'gathering' and the Sabbat of the First Fruits. To pay tribute to a person who set a legacy in our country as the First Finance Secretary, Treasury Secretary, Bank of PNG Governor and a Prime Minister who did not budge to pressure but brought structural changes in the economy, which laid the foundation for a resilient economy. Such people are rare, but, how did he do it? When you want to start something, you think hard and have a clear vision and direction for the start-up. For instance, a businessman, from nowhere, they sit back and think about how to set up a business and then invest in it, and through hard work make it a successful business. Now, the initial businessman passes on, and leaves the business to his children or wife to run it, but, the children or the wife has no clear direction to run the business, because, their thought pattern is clouded with money and luxury which was created by the initial investor. Hence, they don't know how to run the business, so the business goes bust. Similar analogy. When the country was gaining its independence, the forefathers, including late Sir Mekere, had a great vision for the young country (PNG). They already predicted what the country will achieve and how it will progress, hence the management part of the country became clear. Negotiation's took place to combine both German Niugini and British Papua, they managed to do it because, a common vision was shared amongst our founding fathers. They progressed the country well, until, most of them passed on and left the country to a younger generation that does not seem to have the similar vision and views of our forefathers. There was no greed, all they cared for was to take the country forward with its people. Like the children who took over the business of their father or mother who was the initial investor, younger generation took over the country. The younger generation, which are spoiled by power and money, we we start to see greed and selfishness crawl into our country. Rather than thinking as a country, people in power and those in offices become selfish and try their best be enrich themselves at the cost of our country. Corruption and plundering of PNGs natural resources wealth has become a norm. Rather than propelling the country forward with visions, we are so much focused on our own greed, that millions of kina have been plundered, hence building mansions in Australia at the cost of our health, education, roads, etc. So Kudo's to late Sir. Mekere on his death anniversary and our forefathers who had the vision, which is lost by this current generation, and it would be hard to get back on that track.
THE family of late Sir Mekere Morauta celebrated a feast to remember one of the great leader of this country. The feast was held on January 6 at late Sir Mekere Morauta’s office residence in Konedobu, Port Moresby. Click here to read more: ( https://lnkd.in/g-Ve3f6a )

I’m a little sad to hear the news that the Wairarapa Times-Age has been sold out from local ownership. Andrew Denholm and his team have executed a wonderful vision of local journalism/business, in which they use Wairarapa suppliers wherever possible, and their photographers and reporters get out there on the ground and meet people face to face. There’s still a touch of the tabloid about the Times-Age. They break important, shit-hot stories with neither fear nor favour. I’d single out former editors/news directors Emily Ireland and seamus boyer as good journos I’ve loved working/dealing with. I’ve enjoyed popping into the newsroom on my odd visit to Masterton, still in the wonderful old art deco building across from the town hall. Almost inevitably, there will be cuts to staffing as the new owner Stuff consolidates its resources across the region. With diminishing media revenues, there will be no choice. And the Times-Age has maintained a higher staffing than in comparable NZ regional newsrooms; that won’t be sustainable. But I also want to acknowledge Stuff for showing an ongoing commitment to maintaining a network of local mastheads, local newsrooms, and most importantly, local journalists. At a time when trust in journalism is faltering more than ever (rightly or in my view, wrongly) our best opportunity to maintain the credibility of our profession/trade is by being out there and visible in our communities, meeting people, letting them see our working. The Wairarapa Times-Age has done that with integrity and pride, and I believe it will continue to do so. So my message to New Zealanders: if you want good journalists investigating important issues, telling stories you care about and holding the feet of those in power to the fire, then you need to pay for it. Donate. Better still, buy a newspaper or take out a digital subscription. Take out 10 of them, to your favourite local news, to your key industry publications, to the sports and business and politics media outlets that you think are doing the best job. And my message to journalists? Get the fuck out from behind your desks and go and meet people in person. Talk to them, listen to them, try to understand their priorities and their concerns. We want trust? We have to earn it every day. I know we can.
It’s been a super day in regional NZ today, getting to know the brilliant team at the Wairarapa Times Age - committed, local and decent humans. #regionalnews Matt Headland Bernadette Courtney Lee Piper Andrew Denholm Andrea Hay Nicky Vegar https://lnkd.in/eSJTXe_p

IF YOU WERE THINKING ABOUT VOTING LABOUR WATCH THIS AND MAYBE YOU WILL THINK AGAIN. An interesting video that needs to be seen. Watch and make up your minds as to what is and isn't true and what you do and don't believe (as we all should). I found it fascinating and it just deepened my belief that lobbying, funding of parties, and the personal business ties of MP's should be investigated further, and in most cases stopped, as the money involved in voting one way or another 'could' impact peoples integrity, be harmful to UK citizens and damage the living standards of men, women and children in the UK. Maybe this is why 91% of the UK voting population doesn't trust MPs. It is definitely why I support Independent candidates and encourage others to do so. There are over 400 standing in this election (the most ever) which shows just how fed up UK voters are with the Punch and Judy, back and forth of the two-party system. #greaterbritain www.greaterbritain.co.uk Fiona Radic Danny Bamping Ash Choudhury Andy Kavanagh CQP MCQI TechIOSH MCIHT AIEMA Together Steff Wright GB News Ivor Cummins Leandra Ashton Noel McElwee Claire Thomson Morag Foster Brian Reprogramming David Lomas Debra Yuille Luke Harrison Pamela Edwards Michael Meredith Rach Trueman Tony Rundle MSc BSc (Hons) MCIOB Tony Park MBE Peter J.
