True leadership is barely theoretical and/or coagulation of rule of thumbs. True leadership is finding the responsibility that pays more and satisfy the collective interest and be ready, prepared and willing to pay the 'ultimate sacrifice regardless of what is satisfactorily personally convenient. Whatever mix of leadership style you practice, there is a price. Identifying 'what is collective interest' alone can time an entire tenure of service. Paying the 'price' can take forever to conclude. Preparation and readiness can be discouraging. In all, leadership is finding the fold that is ready to uphold what the person in 'front ' deemed as convenient for all when all is said and done. Leadership First The #inventproject is a registered not for profit that combines a mix of pragmatic strategies for optimal learning outcomes, career guide and leadership training for students. Since 2012, o er 10,000students have been trained in #Nigeria across selected schools both at the annual leadership summit and at the mentorship phase of the project

If you could give a piece of advice to your younger self, what would it be? We asked our 2023 HERS Leadership Institute participants that very question, and many of them answered that they would tell their younger self to be more confident and embrace being a leader. Alums of the HERS Leadership Institute (HLI) emerge more confident and skilled at leading with their unique voice, providing institutions and the higher education sector overall with a much-needed infusion of bold new leadership. Participants are asked to share their vision of leadership and what they hope to contribute to their respective institutions and are then challenged to develop the skills to actualize their professional vision. Applications for the Summer HLI are due February 23, 2024!
