As media consumers and advertisers, the changes to the streaming ecosystem directly impact our daily lives. I cheer for new avenues of advertising opening up through Amazon Prime and Netflix, but, as a consumer, I cringe as I find it more difficult to find readily available quality content. Very interesting insights from Georgia Tech's 'Generating Buzz' podcast on the new era of streaming. Since its inception, streaming has revolutionized how we consume media, offering a diverse array of entertainment at our fingertips through various platforms. One thing we can expect to see in 2024 is a surge in mergers and acquisitions as bundles offer consumers more mediums to access their desired content. In a way, the trend toward consolidation mirrors the essence of traditional linear TV where consumers pay a premium for access to a multitude of channels.
