In 1945, September 27 was the historical commemoration of the takeover of the postal, telegraph, and telephone (PTT) services from the Japanese government by the PTT Youth Force (AMPTT). In 1961, the Indonesian government established the State Post and Telecommunications Company (PN Postel) to develop Post and Telecommunications. However, along with the development of telephone and telex technology, the Indonesian government separated the postal and telecommunications industry into PN Postel: PN Post and Giro and PN Telekomunikasi, thus becoming Telkom Indonesia today. Nowadays, As a digital telecommunications company, Telkom Indonesia must continue to innovate and collaborate in creating a digital ecosystem to face the OTT disruption by accelerating the development of intelligent digital infrastructure and platforms, developing superior digital talent, and orchestrating the digital ecosystem as what the Minister of Communication and Technology derives. Let's welcome digital collaboration as a form of appreciation for BHAKTI POSTEL, which has been established for 78 years. Happy 78th Anniversary, Bhakti Postel!

𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗞𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗮’𝘀 𝗠𝗩𝗡𝗢 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗱 Subsidiaries of the Big 3 telecommunication companies are found to account for nearly half of the mobile virtual network operators (#MVNO) market share. Data submitted to the Ministry of Science and ICT by the People Power Party lawmaker Kim Byeong-wook of from the Science, Technology, Broadcasting & Communications Committee of the National Assembly – shows that, as of the end of July this year, the number of #subbrandMVNO subscribers from the subsidiaries of the Big 3: SK Telecom, KT and LG Uplus was 3.93 million, this represents 48% of the total 8.23 million MVNO subscribers in the country. The three companies' sub-brands include SK Telink (Seven Mobile), KT M Mobile, KT Skylife, LG Hello Vision (Hello Mobile), and Media Log (Uplus U Mobile). As these five subsidiaries occupy an overwhelming market share among the 57 MVNOs in the country, there is criticism that the original purpose of the #MVNOpolicy, which was to improve the #competition in the telecommunications market, has failed. Rep. Kim said, “The MVNO policy was introduced to promote competition in the oligopolistic telecommunications market, but contrary to the purpose, even the #MVNOmarket is now dominated by the Big 3 telecommunications companies. He added that, “as business operators in other industries such as finance, distribution, and construction are also entering the MVNO market, the government must strengthen institutional support measures so that it can enter and settle in.” https://lnkd.in/gegRXckq
