Digicel Group's Deep Blue One cable begins rollout in Caribbean waters The system, in partnership with Orange Marine, will connect Guyana, French Guiana, and Suriname, as well as offshore oil and gas rigs in Trinidad & Tobago. ASN's CS Pierre de Fermat loaded in Calais, France departing 11 December with the 2000km, 8 fibre pair cable and 5 branching units providing at least 12 Tbps per pair. Completion is expected early 2024. The original Deep Blue pan-Caribbean system was an ambitious project but did not proceed. As offshore electricity transmission projects grow, the significance of strategic space management and route optimization cannot be overstated. It’s imperative not only for accommodating various ocean activities and resources but also for upholding infrastructure integrity and ensuring telecom and electrical supply reliability. OceanIQ collaborated with British Telecommunications (BT) to conduct a Proximity study on the consequences of repairing a submarine telecommunication cable within the designated area of the Borssele Offshore Windfarm. This collaboration led to the creation of a new repair approach known as the Cable Repair And Lay Through (CRALT). The most important projects in the 2024-2028 Industrial Plan include the 600 MW Elmed interconnector, a submarine interconnection between Italy and Tunisia, which secured a grant of more than EUR 300 million by the European Commission in November last year.

Athena will be presenting at BEOS on the 27th March in London on opportunities in the West of Shetland. An example is shown below - Hale a 1.2 tcf recoverable gas prospect with amplitude and AVO support. Red is soft on the seismic line (ultra far stack) shown. Hale is one of several large (1tcf+ recoverable) features that Athena recognise which could open up a major new gas hub on the UKCS. Get away from all those mature area issues on the UKCS - hub longevity, electrification, emissions reduction, no routine flaring etc. The West of Shetland has the potential to be a major new low emissions gas hub powered from shore with none of these issues.

Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) is a Silver Partner of the #KIOSH 2024 Conference and Exhibition, which will be held from May 29-31, in Astana, Expo IEC. CPC Pipeline System is one of the largest investment projects in the energy sector involving foreign capital in the CIS. The length of the pipeline, connecting the oil fields of Western Kazakhstan with the marine terminal in Novorossiysk, is 1,511 km. The CPC marine terminal is equipped with three offshore loading facilities (OLF) allowing safe tanker loading at a significant distance from the shore, including in adverse weather conditions. Shareholders of CPC: Republic of Kazakhstan (represented by KazMunayGas - 19% and Kazakhstan Pipeline Ventures LLC - 1.75%) - 20.75%; Russian Federation (represented by Transneft - 24% and CPC Company - 7%) - 31%; Chevron Caspian Pipeline Consortium Company - 15%, LUKARCO B.V. - 12.5%, Mobil Caspian Pipeline Company - 7.5%, Rosneft-Shell Caspian Ventures Limited - 7.5%, BG Overseas Holding Limited - 2%, Eni International N.A. Very interesting answer of #Azerbaijan President #Aliyev to my question on the possible role of Azerbaijan as a bridge between #Europe and #CentralAsia, for the European future #Energy needs, to avoid Hybrid Warfare/weaponization of resources from #Russia and #China, especially with the project of a #transcaspian #Gas #pipeline President said: "these months - that's in the time when we didn't see each other (I met President in Shusha beginning of May, ndr) - we already announced the #discovery from the #Absheron #gas #field, which possesses at least #300bcm. And the first well is already producing gas more than any well on Shahdeniz. So, in other words, expansion of our pipeline system is based on our growing resources. For additional gas from Eastern shores of the Caspian – first, the Trans-Caspian Gas Pipeline must be built #underthesea, and second from Baku to the European destination, another something like the Southern Gas Corridor must be built. And the main question is who will #finance these important #projects? 🇮🇹 🚢 Golar Tundra now under Italian flag and new name Italis LNG, no longer Golar Tundra. This is the new name – approved by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport – of Snam S.p.A.'s floating LNG terminal, which has been operating since July 2023 at the Tuscan port of Piombino. With the vessel now listed in the Italian ship registry, the old Marshall Islands flag has been replaced with the tricolour Italian flag. After sending a formal request to the Livorno Port Authority, Snam’s company FSRU Italia successfully completed the process of registering the floating LNG terminal in the Italian ship registry, intending to update it to the technical requirements of Italian regulations. “The inclusion of the Piombino floating LNG terminal in the Italian ship registry is another important step for our FSRU, which we are particularly pleased about. In just under a year, Italis LNG has received 29 cargoes of LNG from five different countries, for a total of 2.6 billion m3 of gas injected into the Italian network, further guaranteeing the security and diversification of energy sources for our country,” stated Stefano Venier, CEO of Snam.
