The recent International Consensus Classification of acute lymphoblastic leukaemia/lymphoma included nearly 30 subtypes. Efforts like MD-ALL is an important tool for clinical use of the newly discovered subtypes, particularly in resource-constrained settings. ALL subtypes have distinct sensitivity patterns to commonly used chemotherapy agents, targeted therapy, and even to immune therapy. How to integrate these subtypes into risk stratification or treatment protocols need further investigations. For example, the DUX4 subtype, despite poorer end of induction minimal residual disease (hence treated with intense treatment), have excellent outcomes.

The benefits of using Multi-Cancer Early Detection (MCED) tests include: Early Diagnosis: MCED tests can detect early-stage cancer cells through a simple blood test, potentially before symptoms appear. Timely Treatment: Early detection enables timely treatment, which may lead to improved survival rates and better patient outcomes. Targeted Treatments: With the genomic information from the blood sample, doctors can administer more precise therapies that are potentially more effective. Cost-Effective: Detecting disease earlier can reduce the need for costly advanced-stage treatments, benefiting both health care systems and patients.
