When you decide who you want to be, you’ll know what to do. If we want to sincerely enjoy our lives, who we become along the way is far more important than what we achieve. You and I aren’t perfect. We never will be. So you and I will do what we can, here and now. Proliferation produces perfection better than procrastination. Gaining even small amounts of time for your priorities (and prioritizing how you spend that time), despite pitfalls, is a major win with snowball momentum and revolutionary implications. If you can gain an hour today, what’s to say you can’t also gain an hour tomorrow? A whole month off? A year? Two years of total autonomy? A lifetime of choices and goals lived over the next two to five to ten years? What if it only takes a few months or weeks? Sometimes what you actually want to do is the responsible thing to do. Don’t shortchange your family and yourself. Don’t leave your free time unloved like a wrapped gift.

Have you ever played Pickleball? 🥒 🏓 A few weeks ago, our Atlanta-based team shut off our computers and left the office for a Summer retreat. We decided to see what all the Pickleball fuss was about (hardly any of us had played it) and spent a few hours of the retreat learning the sport. Now that I've experienced it, here's why I think it's so popular: 1) It's a simple sport -- very easy to pick up and play. 2) It's a doable sport -- even for people who don't consider themselves athletes. 3) It's an equalizing sport -- for us, not any person or team would dominate another...all our games were pretty close matches. 4) It's a good workout -- after two hours, I had logged nearly 7K steps! At The Sketch Effect, we value building culture and fostering the team dynamic. Regular retreats are one way we do that, and Pickleball was a big crowd-pleaser. How do you build culture and invest in your team? Do you think my Pickleball analysis is accurate? #culture #team #teambuilding #fun #artist

Reason 41: Can This Really Happen at Work? If you're anything like me, I understand what's on your mind—how can I enhance my pickleball skills? I find myself either launching the ball too high or smacking it right into the net on my side. It can be incredibly frustrating, especially when I'm faced with a lightning-fast pickleball heading back my way! Allow me to propose a solution to this problem, as well as other pickleball skill-related issues. I call it the "Pickleball at Work" program. The solution is actually quite simple: set up a pickleball court at your workplace and allocate time during lunch breaks and breaks to practice. In no time, you'll be well on your way to becoming a star player in your recreational league. You might be wondering, "Where can we possibly install a pickleball court?" Fortunately, there's a great answer to that question. Some businesses have designated areas that go by various names—the "red tag area," "the forest," "the boneyard," "the abyss," "the black hole," "the area that shall not be named," "the fire hazard," "the just-in-case area," or even "the far corner." You might also be curious about what to do with all the equipment, machinery, parts, and so on. That's where Ridtag comes into play. We can assist in selling and decluttering items that are simply taking up space. This is reason 41 to contact Ridtag. Reach out to us, and together, we can make your pickleball dreams a reality! #PickleballAtWork #RedTag #SellEquipment #Pickleball #Declutter

Work Hard, Play Hard! It’s National Pickleball Day! I grew up with the motto that working hard is good. It keeps your mind healthy and sharp and it’s important to have a purpose. I work very hard, but working too much is unhealthy, too. My Dad always said, “Work hard, play hard,” so I try to follow that motto Amendola Communications One of my favorite ways to have fun and decompress is pickleball. However, CNN recently published an article highlighting pickleball injuries are costing Americans nearly $400 million this year. Sixty percent of these injuries are sprains, strains, and fractures. So if you’re thinking of picking up a paddle, keep in mind: * Everything in moderation. Don’t overdo it, or you probably will get hurt * If you are new to working out, take a day in between to rest your muscles * Get strong off the court – with resistance bands or weights * Warm up before you play and cool down when you are finished Of course, even with precautions, there will still be pickleball injuries—but don’t the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle and being active far outweigh the cost of minor injuries? Without pickleball and other athletic and social pursuits, we would likely be tethered to our desks for longer periods and the toll on our mental and physical health would become an issue. We all need creative outlets, social interaction and fun. Today, my work day is filled with Zoom calls and desk time. But at 6 pm, you will find me on the court celebrating National Pickleball Day! It’s my jam. What’s your jam? #Nationalpickleballday #pickleball #worklifesuccess #worklifebalancetips #agencylife

I help you get more life out of your money ⛳💰 | Financial planner for high achievers who'd rather be golfing | Author: Golfer's Guide to Money
Does this look familiar? This is our car, filled to the brim with every possible thing we might possibly need for a week at the beach. ✅ Suitcases ✅ Multiple beach umbrellas ✅ Beach toys ✅ Beach chairs And then… 🤔 Bikes? Sure, kids want to ride. 🤔 Soccer ball? Sure, kids might get bored. 🤔 Oversized nerf tennis game? Yeah, we’ve got a little bit of room right here for that stuff. And next thing you know this is what you’ve got. There’s room, so you squeeze one more thing in. This is life. What is it about empty space that makes us feel like we need to fill it up? We’re constantly filling our lives with more We fill the rooms in our homes (and then storage units) We fill our commutes with podcasts to learn We fill our calendars to be "productive" We fill pauses in conversation because silence is uncomfortable What if we just got comfortable with…. the white space Space to pause Space to think Space to appreciate Space to breathe Space to be Where can you create more white space in your life this week? PS - Dads, how about that packing job? PPS - Yes, the clubs are in there somewhere 👊
