These generous good deeds of kindness and love to help other species on our planet in need always get me chocked up. I wish I could go all over world and help animals in need and do this as a lively hood
We wouldn't need to have so many of these types of rescues if humans were more accountable for the atrocities we've done to this earth. I recently watch a documentary about the sea turtles getting caught up in junk that ends up in the ocean. They're so many that eat plastics and now have giant tumors all over their bodies. Plus now it is rare that a male is born. How can a species survive with all females? I cried during almost the entire documentary. We need to get rid of plastic period.

I remember as a kid going out to one of the barrier islands off the intracoastal near Jacksonville. As we walked around the small island we encountered 3 seabirds all tangled together with fishing line. A gull had his feet tangled and was trying to fly away, while a tern and another gull had their wings and legs tangled and every time the gull would try to fly, it pulled the line tighter. This was seriously in the middle of NOwhere. At that time (70's), my mother smoked, and so while my older brother held the birds as still as possible, we burned thru the fishing line with one of my mothers cigarettes. The gull flew off, one of the others' wing had been quite damaged. But it was as much as a mother with 3 kids a day's boat ride back to civilization could do.
These are true animal lovers and are affected to the point that they can’t just watch. They took the extraordinary step to protect and defend the animals from humans who have become so oblivious that their actions have consequences. They are outraged at what the human population has done to the environment. What these humans do is so wrong, cruel, and disrespectful to animals and their existence.
These guys are deserve some praise. There is no such thing as a poor defenseless animal. Those seals are doing everything in their power to bite these gentlemen as they try to help free them from the fishing line. But even though they might get bit and end up at the hospital for stitches or a nasty infection. These gentlemen went for it and helped these seals live a much longer and a much happier life!
Such acts of compassion remind us of our responsibility towards marine life. While it's heartwarming to see a seal being rescued, it's also a stark reminder of the ongoing threat of ocean pollution. How can we prevent such entanglements in the first place? Stricter regulations on fishing gear disposal and more robust cleanup efforts are crucial. Moreover, how do we balance human intervention with allowing wildlife to thrive naturally? This incident calls for a deeper commitment to protecting our oceans. #MarineConservation #OceanPollution #WildlifeProtection
