Embark on the journey behind Everyday Chemist and EC Studios.
Moving to Canada exposed me to the unforgiving nature of harsh winters and the ensuing skin challenges they bring. In collaboration with my mother, a talented cosmetic engineer, we created a transformative lip balm that quickly gained recognition. When the pandemic hit, I took a leap of faith and launched Everyday Chemist, offering accessible skincare solutions. It was a chance to make a meaningful difference for those facing similar struggles.
However, our aspirations didn’t stop there. Recognizing the need to support fellow entrepreneurs, I founded EC Studios. Our purpose is to empower brand founders in the beauty industry through mentorship and valuable resources. We invite you to join us and witness our inspiring journey firsthand. Watch our video to discover the passion and dedication that drives Everyday Chemist and EC Studios!

Product @ EC Studios | Operations & Strategy | Master of Information at University of Toronto
Exciting news to share! Today marks my 2-month milestone as a Sales and Marketing Operations Analyst intern at E.C Studios / Everyday Chemist. This experience has been rewarding as I delve into the cosmetic and R&D landscape of Toronto, while developing my skills in process improvement and automation. This opportunity was personally meaningful as I've always had a passion for skincare, driven in part by my personal experience with years of dealing with eczema.
I'm incredibly excited and grateful to continue working alongside Flavia Zhamo and the talented team at EC Studios this summer. Together, we're building a platform/experience designed for small cosmetic business owners and enthusiasts looking to build their own product. Time to put on my Product Management and Design hats!
To Product Managers and Designers: I'm eager to connect and get insights from your product discovery processes and techniques. Any advice will be super helpful!
For those interested in creating their own skin/hair/face/body care products, EC Studios is your go-to destination! Seriously, our lip grease has worked WONDERS!
Sincerely,
An aspiring Product Manager 😊
Building a strong relationship with suppliers is crucial for any business. It goes beyond just transactions; it's about establishing trust and fostering a partnership that benefits both parties. Having reliable suppliers ensures a smooth supply chain, timely deliveries, and high-quality products or services. A good contract is not only about protecting your business; it also sets a solid foundation for a healthy supplier relationship.
When selecting a supplier, asking the right questions is key. Here are three important inquiries to consider:
#001 Can you provide references from your existing clients/customers?
By requesting references, you can gain insights into the supplier's track record, reliability, and quality of their products or services.
#002 What is your capacity and lead time for delivering orders?
Understanding the supplier's capacity and lead time is crucial for managing your own inventory and meeting customer demands.
#003 How do you handle quality control and ensure product/service quality?
Quality is of utmost importance when it comes to selecting a supplier. Inquire about the supplier's quality control processes and how they ensure that their products or services meet your standards.
