A podcast episode worth listening to! This was a fantastic episode. I appreciate the comments from Nicole about the necessity to have a strong business sense, and for non-profits to be thinking about long term leadership and developing others - so the mission of the organization will always be sustained and thriving. This is how for-profits think, and this mindset is often lacking in the non-profit space! Excellent reminders to gauge our focus as non-profit leaders. ❤️

Shout out to John M. Jaramillo, MBA, MSOP for having me on The Book Leads podcast to talk about FairWays to Leadership, the book, and FairWays to Leadership, the nonprofit. It always seems to take the right conversation with the right person to deepen your appreciation for something you're not familiar with. Today, for me, that lesson was on golf. I just wrapped up my conversation on The Book Leads Podcast with Dr. Eric Boyd. Eric, a professor, leadership coach, and non-profit leader, with his wife, Anna Alvarez Boyd, established the non-profit FairWays to Leadership (FWTL). FWTL promotes the leadership and networking ability of college students from diverse communities using the game of golf. To any of my friends and colleagues at CT's own colleges and universities, the FWTL non-profit would serve as an immense asset to students entering the workforce and economy. It complements the knowledge of the classroom with the relational, communication, and confidence skills needed for personal branding and awareness in the workplace and community. In this conversation we covered Eric and Anna's book, FairWays to Leadership®: Building Your Business Network One Round of Golf at a Time. Eric's episode will be published in early May. Keep a look out for it! Thank you, Eric, for your time! Get the book: https://lnkd.in/e8hmRwqX

In the realms of personal and professional growth, the power of belief cannot be understated. Terri Savelle Foy’s interpretation of Kenneth Copeland’s teachings on affirmations reminds us that what we believe fundamentally shapes our realities. As someone who integrates these principles into advancing charitable missions and business ventures, I find this perspective not only inspiring, but also practically applicable. Share your experiences: How have positive affirmations impacted your professional journey? #Leadership #GrowthMindset
