Children's Mental Health & Wellbeing Specialist, Therapeutic Content Creator, Accredited Counsellor & Psychotherapist
How do you open a conversation about Wellbeing with children? Here’s how we do it…The Worry Wizard Way ➡🌟💙. With a pictogram. We think it offers a gentle, fun and imaginative way for children to get Curious about their Wellbeing. There’s something EXTRA special about this pictogram. For the past year, every time we’ve held a Funshop with Pennine CAMHS, I’ve asked every child and grownup in the room to share their ideas for brand-new Wellbeing inspired pictograms. They didn’t disappoint. Have you time to pop the kettle on and solve it? Why not share it with your child and get curious, together? For example, what is the word in the pictogram? What does this word mean to you? When do you feel it? Are there things that stop you from feeling it? We’re calling today ‘International Pictogram Day’ (why not?!). Join us here next Friday – for ‘Intergalactic Pictogram Day’ (??) so we can celebrate – and solve – another brand-new Wellbeing inspired pictogram. And if you’ve got a Wellbeing inspired pictogram that you want to share, our Chief Doodler Chay is all set to draw it and solve it, Amy✨ #fromworriestowellbeing #nurturingemotionalconnection #childrensmentalhealth #mentalhealth #yourvoicematters #mentalhealthsupport #mentalhealthawareness #earlyintervention #emotionalliteracy #camhs #togetherstronger #whywedowhatwedo #childmentalhealth #howwework #theworrywizardway

Our latest blog has been posted! Learn more about House Bill 2017 and how it will protect kids online. Representative Brian Munroe, thank your efforts to #ProtectPAKids, empower parents, and hold social media companies accountable! Although PFSA supports House Bill 2017, we cannot rely on legislation alone to protect our children and address the youth mental health crisis. Justin Donofrio, PFSA’s Prevention Services Manager, recently appeared on Pennsylvania Newsmakers to discuss the youth mental health crisis. "Regulations are important. But building capacity and confidence [in our children on social media] is ultimately what will increase safety." Check out our blog here: https://lnkd.in/ezYGA3vv - - - Visit PFSA's Family Digital Wellness hub on our website for resources and information on how to protect children online while fostering safe, healthy digital behaviors. https://lnkd.in/e7ST8nqE #familydigitalwellness #digitalsafety #socialmedia #protectkidsonline #protectpakids

Supporting professional mums improve emotional regulation using proven cognitive-behavioural strategies and our emotional regulation programme
It’s easy to breeze through life paying more attention to the problems we have to solve rather than the things we've achieved and the ways we've grown. Focusing on what we have to do or solve is part of our biology, part of our survival system; a natural part of being human. Consciously focusing on our achievements, can help to boost dopamine and improve mood and motivation. A great practice any time (daily if you can), but the end of the year can feel like a natural time time to do this I reflected on Conscious & Calm this year, and sharing it here with you: 💜 We've been asked to contribute to many many articles this year, including The Times, Independent and The Guardian as we're now being recognised for the work we do 💜 We also had our first radio and live TV appearance with the lovely Trisha Goddard talking about various aspects of anxiety and how to manage it 💜 In September we were awarded Best Parental Emotional Regulation Programme 2023 - UK in the Lux Parent and Baby Awards 2023! 💜 We were awarded GHP's PARENT AND CHILD MENTAL HEALTH EXPERTS OF THE YEAR 2023 And the bit that really matters: 💚 We supported 217 families 💚 We ran our first ever Day Retreat for mums here in Cornwall 💚 We ran 6 online Nervous System Reset Sessions helping women cultivate a deep sense of inner calm and relaxation so they could be a more nurturing presence for their family 💚 We hosted Cornwalls first ever Family Wellbeing Fair! Connecting families here with the practitioners and organisations that can support their families mental and physical health 💚 We helped 20 women on the Emotional Regulation programme to work on breaking the generational patterns they inherited, be kinder and more supportive to themselves and more able to be the calm, confident parent they want to be It's so easy to forget how far you've come, if you have 10 minutes, I invite you to do the same and reflect on your growth this year too A massive thanks to my team; who share my mission and work so hard to make it a reality in the wider world Wishing you all a wonderful 2024 filled with love, laughter and deep inner peace Navit 💜 #newyear #newpriorities #consciousparenting #cognitivebehaviouraltherapy #cbt
