Day 5 of 12 Days of Christmas: The Art of Giving and Receiving 🎁 Today, as we continue our holiday countdown, we focus on a beautiful balance – the act of giving and receiving. It's a dance of nurturing ourselves and embracing the gifts of life wholeheartedly. 🤗 Ask yourself: How do you care for your spirit daily? How do you open your heart to receive the abundance around you? To celebrate this day, I'm thrilled to share a special video. In it, I reveal a practice that I often share with my clients, one that helps to restore and rejuvenate the spirit. This practice is my gift to you today, to help you connect deeply with yourself and the world around you. So take a deep breath, watch this video, and allow yourself to fully receive the message. Let it be a reminder to live life with an open heart, ready to give and eager to receive.

To celebrate others. I believe that somewhere inside of us we all have a desire to be celebrated. To be acknowledged. To be seen. To be known. Not in the “center of attention” type of way, but in the, “I feel so loved” type of way. We normally celebrate… Job promotions. Pregnancies. Purchasing a home. Getting engaged. Adopting a dog. Etc. But we should also celebrate… Getting sober. Leaving that unhealthy relationship. Relocating and starting over. Finally going to therapy. Attending church again for the first time in a long time. Breaking up with bad habits. Here are some practical ways to celebrate others. 1. “I’m so proud of you.” Just because. 2. Organize a lunch or get-together. 3. Write a letter. Snail mail >>> 4. Give a goodie basket. 5. Words of affirmation. 6. Invite them. 7. Remind them that you’re there for them, in their corner. 8. Find out their love language and use it to communicate how wonderful you think they are. 9. Whatever it is, make it a big deal, because they are a big deal! Balloon arches and all. 10. Small, thoughtful gifts just because. I believe it’s one of the greatest honors that God gives us— to love on people and show them how much God loves them too! As you get in bed tonight and think about the week ahead, think about one person that you can celebrate this week. 🤍

Do you believe in Father Christmas? I’m guessing that you abandoned your belief in Santa and the tooth fairy long ago, as soon as your belief was challenged in some way. Yet, many of our beliefs around our self-worth and what we can achieve have never been questioned, so they have survived within us since we were around seven years old. We can change our beliefs when they become unhelpful or inappropriate and when they are challenged by ourselves and others, but often that simply doesn’t happen. Values and beliefs are typically handed down to us by our parents, siblings, and teachers and through our faith, culture and social organisation. We believe they are true because others have told us so or because we have had them instilled in us from an early age. However, we all interpret what we have learnt differently, so although we use the same word for a value, e.g. respect, it could be something different to each of us depending upon what we have been taught about it. It is important when challenging the values and beliefs of your team that you do not judge someone based on their interpretation of a word (value). This act serves as a potent reminder of how easy it can be to bridge gaps of loneliness with gestures of togetherness. In our fast-paced lives, where individual pursuits often dominate our focus, this campaign serves as a poignant reminder to be mindful of those around us. It prompts us to ask: In our individual journeys, are we missing the joy of shared moments? How often do we take a moment to be there for someone? I simply love the message of 'Be Someone's We'. Technology was created to enhance our life and enjoy it. Why do people care so much about capturing a video of the Arc de Triomphe lighting up in a million colors and posting it on social media? Why do they prefer this over putting their phones away and cheer, hug, kiss and laugh with their friends/family? Imagine the following conversation: - Gustav: "so where did you spend NYE?" - Gregoire: "at Champs Elysées, it was awesome man, so many people, lights, colors, fireworks. Here... look at this video I capture" (... shows video) -Gustav: "that's fantastic. Who did you get to kiss or at least hug?" ** awkward silence ** -Gregoire: "... but look at the lights, breathtaking!!!" ** awkward silence ** It's genuinely sad to see this plethora of people putting social media front and center in their lives, rather than living the moment and sharing it with their loved ones. (PS: I made up the names, no reference to an actual person is being made...)
